My only experience with Regions will forever be just that- my only experience with Regions. I took a flight on a Regions Junk-stream last summer... on take off, the stall shaker went off as we over-rotated on a 10,000 foot runway, once we leveled off- I looked out and the flaps were still set in the takeoff position. When I looked up at the cockpit- I could see the 2 pilots laughing and joking as they made meager attempts to even keep the airplane level- all the while jerking the airplane around. On landing- the stall shaker went off again as they abruptly fell to the earth halfway down the runway. As we waited to be unloaded- the captain said 'sorry about the bumpy ride, the weather was a little... errr, bumpy'. what a dildo.

Never ride on this airline, don't let your friends or family ride on them- they must be hiring 23 year old punks with 500 hours tt to fly these crappy, probably not airworthy pieces of crap. They are unsafe, unprofessional, and have no integrity for the job they do. You can flame me all you want- but that was my experience with them, and I'm just sharing my personal opinions. They suck donkey dongs.

Hey joey, this was your FIRST post, so forgive me if I call BS on it. Or don't forgive me, I don't really care...

What was the date and city pairs of this alleged incident. I didn't fly at Regions, but I worked for 3C for 14 months doing ground ops and I in all the flights I rode on to & from STL I never saw anything remotely as unprofessional as your allegations.

Interested parties want details...

After flying Regions air alot the past few, Ive never even once felt unsafe with the pilots. The new saab is a very nice aircraft. The pilots who are flying it, are very well trained (flight safety) and are very sound in their judgement. From one pilot to another, I would tell everyone that they are safe, smart, and qualified.

No Princess Buttercup, I did the 61 thing in North Georgia, got a degree with an actual backup, not in aeronautical science but engineering, and had to live in Saint Loser for a year while being employed with TSA. The women are oh so HOMELY/chuncky, the night life sucks, unless you like to hang out at the casino with 70 year olds, and everyone that I met from STL was pissed off that they were there and wanted to leave. What can I say besides that??? I dunno, oh wait, one time at the hotel, I saw a Southwest flight attendant shove a........... oh no, I didn't, I just saw them in the bar and said "Let's drink and pretend we're not here." they said yes, she and she (they, for all the English majors at this website) were hot, and I didn't get laid.
Oh well.............

You know, I been to almost every major and not so major city in this country and you can say the same thing about those places. I am just so sorry you apparently got raped while you were here. Oh wait, you worked for TSA, that explains it.

That does not sound like the pilots I flew with there at all. The professional pilot group is the only good thing going there. You a bit jelous because some 24 year old punk has four bars on his shoulder? News flash. Those guys and girls will be moving on to bigger and better things while you sit at your computer and find something to b*%ch about.
Oh yeah, the meager attempt to keep the plane level is a good day in the jetstream.

Is Regions unionized?

No.

I have nothing against those who go to Regions; they have a nice pilot group. I understand everyone has different priority, some want PIC fast. However, I will not accept the unreasonable pay. Explore other opportunities if you can.

Eas

Regions was awarded CAL EAS flying into Morgantown, Parkersburg, Charleston, Beckley and perhaps Lewisburg & Clarksburg WV. These Saabs would come from CLE. They were supposed to start flying into WV several months ago. This would replace Mesa's Airmidwest 1900 flying with their newly approved Saab 340's. Last I heard - was that they had the first saab pilot classes started (finished?) and they were waiting for Manual approval from the FAA to begin their codeshare with CAL. That's what I know - it's a little old though.

You sir are an ignoramous. Only someone that has over 1000 hours
in the left seat of the j-ball is allowed to call them a junkstream...
and that would likely be because of the hearing loss and associated
mispronouncing of certian words. Crapex's j-balls are to the best of
my knowledge airworthy. Archaic, slow, uncomfortable loud and unstable
yes. 23 year olds? Yes. Mins have been 1000/200 for years, and I will
never understand how the place got some of the fine people that
I flew with...there are a few of the FO's that I would fly a jball
through hell single pilot to go rescue. The airplane is trustworthy
if you understand it's language. Pax comfort? Blah, it was a RNAF
trainer. I had 8 pax puke on one flight on a nasty day. Smooth
landings are only allowed by special dispensation from on High!
If you were really that concerned you should have contacted
the CP. If you lack the intestinal fortitude to have done so
at the time and can only post here hiding behind a screen
name I lack the words to convey your cowardice.

Further I suspect that I would be banned from this board
for all eternity if I made full use of the English language in
flaming color to describe the contempt that I hold that level
of cowardice in.

In my esteem you rate right up there with Don Carty, Carl
Ichon and OBL.

At best sir, on a clear blue sunny day you are a wanker!

Yeah, the pilots laugh and joke around...bet you do at your
job too...you also probably have a door to hide behind!

I understand that the sole SAAB (send another aircraft for baggage)
is in coex colors...but they have been getting saabs for Christmas
since 1997...they probably won't do anything out of STL.

I got a lot of good experience and made many friends there. The kind
of people that you can count on.

The sad thing is that the QOL and pay are not anywhere near
industry standard. The owner has no respect for the people
that make the operation run on a day to day basis...I am not in
a position to hazard a guess at what upgrade time is...the lines
were getting worse when I bailed...sounds like nothing has
changed.

Come on, cruising around with the flaps down at 14,000 and then laughing about it after getting a stall shaker on takeoff- and that shows the fault of the flying and non-flying pilot- neither one of them caught it?? a far cry from being professional IMHO. But, if that's professional to you- then I hope to god I'm never on your aircraft. I flew Junkstreams for TWE years ago and I know what a piece of crap they are, so spare me the "you don't know a jetstream" line. If you have had positive experiences with Regions- GREAT. I however, have not... and maybe if I had flown another flight on Regions- I could paint you a different picture- but that will never happen.

Actually, I did send a letter in to AA after the event and AA said they regretted it, blah, blah, blah- and that it would be forwarded to Regions. I never heard a thing back. And the whole "hiding behind a computer" crap, alright mr proud man, if you start using your real name instead of your screen name I'll take that comment with merit.

So again, my experience with Regions Air- they suck donkey balls, don't fly on them, don't fly for them- and don't let your friends or family do it. I really don't understand why I get flamed for voicing my experience of such a worthless airline- I don't flame anyone else for theirs, good or bad.

Ahhh- you flew those POS 800 series s/n birds
that unkle HK ran into the dirt at TSA or somewhere
else years ago. Yeah, I've heard some of the stories
from some of those guys. Crapex don't have any of
those birds left...

I was there at the time-last summer-and I didn't hear
anything about it. You're condeming a whole pilot group
without proof, on your very first post. You are a wanker.

Two things:

I am about 99% sure that Regions Air is (or at least was) represented by Teamsters Local 747. That would make them unionized.

And for the SECOND TIME joey, what city pairs and what date did this supposed incident happen on?

I didn't hear that when I was in ground school. Good thing another company called. :D

If this is true did you say anything to the crew after landing. I'm of the curious sort and would of asked them about any issues with the flight (in a respectful and professional way of course). If I'm PIC and a passenger wants to discuss a certain part of the flight I am more than willing to listen and give them an explanation.

They wouldn't dare tell you...ground school is where you are indoctrinated
into the company, not where someone tells you that you deserve to live
above the poverty level!

Before I left there I offered my help to
both people that held union titles and was ignored by them. There is
no visable effort to get what the crews deserve on the part of the union
and that is really just wrong. I know that they are volunteer positions,
and both are good guys, but when you are struggling against a management
that is sure that they know that paying you $18/hr is all that you are
worth, you need to involve many hands to turn the thing around.

Yes, for the love of all that is sacred, the 3C crews are represented by the IBT, Local 747. If you want to change anything there get out your checkbooks, send in your dues and get involved!

Serrano, thanks for the heads up on this one! I bet the first round that I know where you learned to say "wanker"!

Hehehe

joeybowwow, I've got your posted total time in the -32 Alone.

What? Ya kinda gotta yell, I don't hear so good no more, sonny!

You know what the crew was laughing about?

Laidies and Gentelmen, joiebarfbarf is a genuine psycic! (tell me the next winning lotto numbers!)

What, did they pass you a note! You Cheater! I know dang well you didn't hear what they were laughing at, maybe you could smell the fart!

You could see the flap indicator in the cockpit? Did the crew notice you looking over their shoulders while you were standing in the entryway? You claim to have flown Jetstreams. Well ace, you would know better than to whine about the ride. Not many are less cushy in summer air than the 32...maybe you used to fly -41's which are completely different in bumpy weather-much smoother ride and nowhere near the yaw tendancies.

I don't know about you, but the jetstreams I flew on the short runs
we had? Bet they couldn't get to 14,000 feet dragging flaps before you
had to start down.

Serrano, you're right. joeilickbarf is a frelling wanker. He probably flew
-41's for HK and didn't even know about the stewardess in the back.

Heheheheheehehehe!

Last we heard, they signed the leases on 2 SAABs, blew the engines up on 1 of them and keep failing the WV proving runs with the other one.

I don't think we've blown any engines up yet.. However, there was a major oil consumption issue with one of the birds..

How you fail a proving run? Wellll.. that there is a company secret.. :)

Regions was in Jamestown a couple weeks ago. They were ferrying from Maine and had to stop every hour and put more oil into one of the engines. Craziness. They didn't know when Regions would be ready to take over the JHW-BFD-CLE run.

Actually someone (no, not me!) started a thread in 2003 or so that indicated that Regions Air (then known as Corporate Airlines) was going to start using some ERJ-135's to do some CoEx flying. It went so far that ExpressJet's DO called the President at Corpex...there were fictitious attributions and everything.

There were some CoEx types that took it to heart, thought their monopoly on jet flying in CAL colors was being threatened and got kind of upset...they knew not that the only thing that corpex threatens is corpex. I knew that it had to be fertilizer of the highest order and called it that. It was however sidesplittingly funny!

And they have been going to get Saabs for Christmas since 1998...I just hope for the sake of the crews it will make some money and they can get thier pay up somewhere near industry standard.

I remember that! That was some funny shizzle. The memos & quarterly newsletter refuting the rumor were equally hilarous...

Yeah man, that's when I introduced you to flightinfo-or vice versa-those long lunches in LAF eating chineese food and farting my way back to STL...there were some that wanted the originator canned but the pres stepped up, lectured him and let him stay. It appears that he has a scense of humor ;).

Hey Boiler, ya know how to find that thread and post a link to it?

Welcome to WV boys and girls of a yet another lower than low cost carrier. Don't be frightened when you hear banjos playing from behind trees at night. Don't freak out when you have a terrain warning close to the sides of those coal mines. Always lock your doors at night and don't drink the moon here in West Virgini -- you done did it good this time round....ummmm uaaaaa.

Ya know, I almost wish that I was still at corpex so that I could really rant and rave and laugh about how this whole thing was put together. I missed out on the clusterfrack of the century! Instead I just feel sorry for the folks that are still there...good luck my friends, you deserve it-and way more!

For them that know-I really mean that old Irish toast I make to you...
