Hey Guys,
My cousin is looking at going to GoJets...I was explaining to him the last thing I heard was pretty negative...no recip. j/s agreements...spit on, etc...... Everyone is hiring right now even US Airways Exp. only requires Multi/Comm...and they pay a $5000.00 bonus.
Any info will help and I will forward it on to him....but he is young and dying to fly jets.

Let the shi* roll!!!

?????

You answered your own question... Why are you even posting this???

Everyone is hiring. Why go anywhere, but the best place you could go. Many variables, where one lives?(commuting). Current time the person has.. Upgrade times if it affects said person. see previous sentence. Time required to upgrade..

Tell your friend to pm me and I can give them tailored advice.

Not matter what your friends situation why would one ever even consider GJet or Mesa at the current time. (maybe violations, dui's)

If he’s clueless enough to be considering it, he should go. He'll fit in with those inbred knuckle-dragging round-heads over there at blowjet.

Love it. I don't think anyone has publicly admitted to having a personal desire to go there. Sure are a lot of helpful folks on these forums. Gathering information to help your cousin, your friend, your flight instructor, some guy at the bar, and the list goes on.

Don't know how to use the search function, do you?

No, it won't go 3 pages because people are tired of it by now

Alright!

Well I was looking for updated news regarding the company and how it is perceived currently.

I fly corporate so I don't have the luxury of hearing regional "gossip" everyday....and most my buddies have left the regionals...
so this is HOW I AM SEARCHING...so Turtlesfly....sorry to get into your "My daddy can beat up your daddy BS!" Grow up and don't be a di*k....this is the purpose of the forum!

They aren't perceived well for a reason. Those guys walk around the training center like they are proud of what they've accomplished. However, they turn their badges around at ORD. If he wants to get the boot form a jumpseat, go ahead and work there. But if he wants STL, there is TSA and CHQ.

Amen. If he is clueless, he cannot call himself a professional. This is the information age and there is a plethora of info on the net about those bastages and all their misdeeds.

Tell your buddy to take 5 minutes on Flight Info using the search page and find what people think, it is his responsibility prior to employment to figure it out.

I hate when people say they went to a place like Go-Jets or Mesa and now it sucks. Then they say they didn’t know what it was like, they never took 3 minutes with Google prior to starting a career for the next 3-10 years of their life, somewhat irresponsible if you ask me.

(I am not insinuating that Mesa is as bad as Go-Jets.)

I thought I would never reply to this crap again. For the love of sanity here goes:
Anyone that reads these posts and acts on 90% of the advice needs his head examined. Nobody in the airline majors gives a dam about your in-fights cause they got bigger fish to fry. And when you bring that crap up here in the majors we are waiting for you. Just ask your friends at Jetblue (if they're still there who tried to pull that crap. Strange that has been kept so quiet! I hope they are sleeping better these days. For you young pilots , only you can make that call about your career not pilots with axes to grind. only you can look in your families face after your decision is made. And if you make the wrong decision you will have the same anger as those you read here.

That was one person at Jetblue and he was not well liked by his peers. If you are tired of rationalizing, don't post anymore.

I just looked up their pay rates on airlinepilotcentral.org. I fly the exact same airplane and took a $5/hour pay cut through bankrupcy as a second year FO, yet I still made $10/hour more than a second year GoJets FO.

I just asked my nephew and he said Gojets is awesome. My grandad thinks that you should go to Braniff though.

Hey why get mad at me? I'm saying exactly what everybody else here says . . . especially Habib who said it almost verbatim

You know the only forum you cant get intelligent info or non biased answers is on the Regionals forum...AND I APOLOGIZE TO THE GUYS THAT STICK TO THREAD...what piss contest are you trying to win???
There are 10k+ CRJ/ERJ PIC pilots on the market and if you are an FO and your resume reads B-58...CRJ or C-310.....CL-65 or PA(WHAT???)...CL-65 whats your point call your mommy cause that is who you are living with....and she will change you diaper.

I told my cousin that pilots are well informed and research information before making a rash decision!!! That this decision will change the rest of his life...what I failed to mention is that if he flys anything ending in RJ is that he will be a babbling PRICK with absolutely no clue what he is talking about and pissed off at the world.

*Additionally as a lowlife he will spend all his free time surfing the net trying to make others feel bad...so HE WONT!!!!!!!!!!"

My point to prove was to pull off a lot of good threads and send to him to show him that a lot of guys research and live this info. every day...oh well hopefully some college grads will show up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice job...lets see the stupidity unwind. To the guys that help THANK YOU....I wouldn't respond except this shi* pisses me off!

Wow. It's not our fault GoJet is a POS airline. We're just trying to keep your "buddy" from going to some career-ending crap job. But your welcome...A $ $.

I don't fly for GoJet but I do run into them frequently in Chicago and Denver. The ones I talk to seem happy with their employer and they like flying the aircraft. What you mostly hear on here are ALPA zealots who are bitter that their own leadership led them down the wrong path when they had the chance for GoJet flying and convinced them to vote down the opportunity to get theflying. I think they blame the company for not bailing them out of their own mistakes. Anyway, if you talk to the guys there I think you will find most think its a pretty good place to be. As for a career ender....not a chance of that. They get hired at all the other carriers just like any other Regional with the qualifications and time. Tell your cousin to find the first job he can and start building time...then move on when he can.

I run into them alot at ORD - they don't hide anymore, but now they are "in you face" with the "hellos"! I have personal feelings about them (negative) and feel that if you commute, there are going to be times that guys will refuse you - especially on regional a/c. Mainline pilots don't care, they will hire whomever......
Something to remember is that HK is the biggest pr!ck you could ever imagine working for - he has a long history of screwing his employees over for a buck! This has been the case since his days of United Feeder Service and continues to be the case today. Sooner or later, the GoJet guys will not be flavor of the month anymore and he will turn on them!! The industry is recovering rapidly and these guys will most likely settle for a bad contract, just to get the thing done, continuing to be the lowest of the industry.
If your cousin wants to fly a Jet, they should try SkyWest, Republic, Eagle or anyone before they go to GoJet or MESA.

My .02cents.....
