I did it - went to ALLATPS in Salem, OR did the ATP in 3 days for about $1500 and got hired at NJA (pre-contract). Its so much better here that you can't fairly compare the two. Ill make close to 55k as a first year FO on reserve (voluntarily). The improvement in QOL is huuuuuuuge. I just had 10 days off - worked for 4 days, had 5 days off, ill work for 7 days then get 12 days off due to their questionable scheduling construction. I do miss my jumpseat benes but I am not ever going back. It does suck badly that we are not all home based but if we stick together then we should be able to get it for everyone in a few years.

All I know is that I work a lot harder when I'm on the road with a fractional than I did when I was a regional pilot. The thing that keeps people going is the 7 consecutive days off. I think you have more of a life, or at least one you can plan things on, at a fractional. There sure are some pros and cons though.
