Regan to Dulles ?

Best way to get between them? Does the train go there? Also best way to get to the udvar hazy museum from Dulles?

Dulles has a lack of good transportation. Cheapest would be to take the bus from Dulles to Roslyn, then hop the blue line metro to DCA. It takes a little while.

I second Av8tor's suggestion. Metro trains run every 5-15 minutes, and the Washington Flyer Bus runs every 30 minutes at 15 and 45 past the hour. With luck you can pull the whole thing off in under an hour, though 90 minutes is possible if you just miss the bus at West Falls Church.

How many people are traveling? I'd recommend the Blue/Orange lines to West Falls Church followed by the Washington Flyer if you're traveling alone or maybe a total of three. After that, it might be cheaper to rent a car for one day.

As far as hotels, are going on a weekday or weekend? How close to Dulles?
I assume that you don't belong to any hotel chains. I use primarily Marriott (Platinum Premier) with Starwood (Gold) as my backup.

On weekdays, you may find it a lot cheaper to be out in the Manassass area, but on weekends, the hotels around the airport can be dirt cheap. It may actually be cheaper to rent a car and stay a little further away from Dulles for a cheaper hotel room. I've stayed at just about every Marriott property in the area and they're all fine (Marriott, Fairfield Inn, Courtyard, etc). My favorite is Westfields Marriott Dulles Airport, but it's tough to get a good rate there.
