excellent contribution gunfyter. you have stumbled upon what is really driving Raytheon's decision making of late. Fear of full disclosure to the aircraft owner's of what the "A team guys" have been up to all these years.

A pilot union that says to pilots, "no more favors. Follow the law to the letter." and says to management, "give us the crew staffing and supplemental lift to do our jobs safely and legally." is a direct threat to Raytheon's pattern of greed and corruption.

Raytheon pattern may answer question's about Scheringa's new contract

Raytheon has a pattern of offering contract for new position (promotion) to those that have been a part of their past practices of greed and corruption. Pliner being but one example.

This accomplishes two things.

1)It keeps the accomplices (scheringa?) loyal and under their control and watchful eye.

2)It gives them a ready made fall guy when they fear imminent exposure of their past illegal practices.

The possibility of a union coming on site means the possibility of exposure of Flight Option's "A team" practices. When the union say's "no more favors" the charter rates that Scheringa and Raytheon are already concerned about will increase exponentially.

This radical change in operating numbers will raise eyebrows and have to be explained.

At that time Raytheon's Swanson may pull a Casablanca, " I am shocked, shocked that there was less than completely legal flying going on."

Scheringa, "your fired." Psss. And here is that money in your golden parachute that we promised to you should you have to be the fall guy after all.

Not YOUR decision to make!

It was Mike's intention to "come out." We all know management reads even the password protected board. Mike wanted everyone that knows him to know how he stood on this issue.

Being who Mike is, I think his self outing will help push us over the 75% mark and his unifying rather than dividing message is what is going to be needed to hold the pilots together during the MEC and contract negotiation phases.

Mike wants to make a contribution to that process. He is thinking ahead and I applaud his deliberation as much as his deliberate self outing.

His "COMING OUT" is not for you to decide where. He "came out" on two PASSWORD PROTECTED boards. You (I might add under your own anonymity) posted his FULL first and last name on a PUBLIC forum. Big difference.

Did you ever stop to think that his letter was intended for the pilots and management of Flight Options and not the whole d@mn world? Maybe he doesn't want some neighbor searching his name on the net to see his company's dirty laundry, or want anyone doing a web search to even know where he works...or any NUMBER of reasons.

Bottom line, if HE decided (or decides to) post it on a public forum, HE will do it...You are WAY, WAY out of line, and EXACTLY the reason why many more will REMAIN anonymous (like yourself) :angryfire

Nonetheless, I think the illegally reposted letter was an EXCELLENT one, and one of the most sane I've read in quite a while.

I do find it notable that none of the organizers commented on it (favorable or whatever)...but then, if I were an organizer the first thing I'd be thinking is "D*mn! Is this guy going to get my MEC vote?" lol

Regardless, I think he expressed what a great deal of people have always thought (like someone else said, just a heck of a lot better)
