Perhaps a border monitoring balloon?
 
Great. Now we'll have to come over and flashy-thing you! :rolleyes:

The radar balloons are called Aerostats, and I don't think this is one. They look like WWII barrage balloons, oval with the inflatable fins, and they have a 'landing pad' directly under them that isn't visible in the picture.

Probably a weather balloon.... or maybe it is the mothership!

It's people like EatSleepFly that brought it to my attention. :D

I had heard that the US was starting to put up radar blimps along the eastern coast and not just on the southern border. Almost seems logical to put one there if you are looking for people coming from the south-east.
