I need some info from anybody at SWA that can answer some quick questions. I got the call for the job...HELL YES!!! However, I'm sort of in the dark as to what to expect during training. Can anybody tell me how long training lasts? What's pay like during training? Weekends off? When do insurance benefits start? Will they send me this info before I get to school? Any info would be great.

Thanks

5. Some of it, some you will get day one.

Hope this helps!!

Cheers!

Hello JA,
Yes, your hotel is paid. Most stay at the Renaissance Hotel or the Holiday Inn Select. Welcome Aboard!

Different question for the same airline group.

Yesterday I was on a SWA flight that had a stop and a crew change in PHX. During the crew change, I realized that there were about 10-15 passengers onboard this plane and no SWA FAs onboard.

Isnt there an FAR or a company policy about having FAs onboard the plane when there are passengers on the plane?

I am sure they where on they might have just been up front or in the back. JMO.

No, I am sure they werent. That is what surprised me. I was sitting in row 4, and watched as they all left the plane. I looked around and there was a ramper or cleaner towards the back galley, but no FAs. The new FAs got on within a minute or two, wasnt long. I am guessing that they were all on the jetway. No big deal, just wondering if that is standard ops. I know other airlines wouldnt ( or can't) do it that way.
