Questions about FedEx interview

I hear there have been a few modifications to the FedEx interview process lately.
1- No SBI
2- Change in Sim to Airbus.

Can anyone confirm this?
What was the reasoning?
Are there any other changes being discussed?
Are the details of the interview process public knowledge or is there an attempt to make them secret to some degree?

I've done my M&G but have not been called for the interview yet. I assumed they had stopped the interviews since the pool can support most of the classes through 2006.

SBI is gone for now. HR seems non-commital as to if it will come back or not.

Airbus sim is getting used a lot--rumor is DC-10 will continue. Bus is good news...pireps from smart guys who fly both is -10 is much trickier to fly. Bus must not be too hard--I made it through on that equipment back in 01.

Another rumor is Pan Am will be getting a bus in Memphis...so guys who want to prep using both -10 and bus will have the option to do both.

Another rumor is NO interviews until mid/late fall.

Again--I r rumor repeater, not fount of knowledge. All this could change tomorrow.

I had heard the SBI is possibly being phased out because some of the folks failing it come from well......high placed sponsors and those with special needs (EEO)...... Some Capt's kids, high level managment sponsors, and EEO candidates weren't making the cut. Oh well.

Heard the -10 is to stay.

Talked to John R yesterday and the 4 that were interviewing.
The longest wait was 11 months from M/G
JR said to expect average of 6 months to get the call.
Also said they were going to take a break from interviewing, expect things to pick back up after the end of summer.
Problems with SBI not being objective and/or consistant.
I did not ask about Bus v 10.
I am sure that this plan has changed already.

Did Meet-n-Greet in May with MD-11 ACP and was told that they (C.P & A.C.P's) will hold a meeting in August to decide on who will interview next. I was told to expect a call in August.
