OK, on the company website it states that a first class medical is required and will be verified at the interview. My first-class just reverted two weeks ago. Now, If I go to the group interview next week with a second-class med, am I shooting myself in the foot? Just trying to decide if I need to run out and schedule a doc's visit in the next 48 hours.

thanks for any advice

Yes, you do. When you go to the group events, you need to have all their listed qualifications.

I appreciate the advice, that's what I was thinking as well. I take it you work there?

I work the ramp there (currently indefinate mil leave) and will be applying to fly as soon as I get back from my deployment in Sept. I know quite a few people on the inside and most say you need to show up with all the requirements to the group interview, or they send you home.

Good luck.

You need to show up with a current 1st. class medical. It's that simple. I know it sucks to have to go out and spend the money for one but you'll be wasting your time if you show up with the medical you now have. The 1st. class part has expired. It's won't be acceptable.

thanks for the input. I suppose you can say I got some bad intel from some folks there, they thought the 2nd would be just fine. I am already on the Doc's schedule this week.

Would you know of a good address for Camielle? Does it matter if my letters of reference are mailed to her vs. emailed? Or am I risking overkill if I show up with recommendation letters to a group interview? I know these questions seem a little dumb.....I am new to the "group" concept and have no real idea of what to expect.

I'm pretty sure the group interview is not the final interview. If you're good enough, they'll invite you to SLC for the rest of it. I personally like to give my recommendation letters to them in person, i.e. the one on one interview. It helps me explain who gave me the recommendation and how I was related to them...i.e. a former supervisor, captain, instructor.......it helps the interviewer put the letter into context. I'd say there's no harm in attaching them to your resume, but I would just save them till you get to SLC, then pull out all your guns.....

good point. The few folks I know there were asked back for the sim check after a group interview, I know the group interview is not the final by any stretch. Thanks everyone for your advice.
