I have always wanted to work for SWA, and until just recently, did not have the opportunity to get the PIC turbine needed to meet the minimums. Within 1 1/2 to 2 years, I could have over 1500 to 2000 hours of PIC turbine flying a Falcon 20. What is the outlook for SWA at that time period regarding attrition and retirements? How does SWA view the hiring of guys who were doing the freight dog thing to get to that point?

Thank you for you input.

Last I heard was 500 new hires (average) a year for the next 5 years.

Why would swa look at aquiring the time flying freight any differently? I would think that it is tougher than most of the flying out there.

I'm a former frieght dog (USA Jet). Being a freightdog will provide you with many interesting stories to tell during your interview.

I flew the falcon too.. I went from the falcon 20 to a B737.

I flew with a former falcon flying freight dog in oak about 5 years ago. Great guy, plenty of stories, most with happy endings. Also an outstanding piloto.
