Does the Dash 8-300 get weight restricted often on short flights such as CLT-TRI resulting in problems for jump seating?
Looking for a ride, and would appreciate any advice.
Thanks...

My bad. Whoever flies dash turboprops out of CLT then. US airways express carrier. Piedmont perhaps?

Dash 8/300 you're good to go. CLT-TRI is 40 minutes..... That burn is close to 1,000LBS so you should be good.

Yeah.. It's bad enough we have the same uniforms and badges!! When people look at us they think we're the ones with Herpes!!! Piedmont is still Herpes free so you're safe to still ride with us! :)

Just make sure you keep it that way!

Piedmont is next in the running to get the E-175's. We'll see what they do when faced with the decision

Haha no they aren't. Piedmont has been passed over for more planes so many times its just funny now. Rjs that went to psa years ago, q400s that never arrived, the -200s they didnt get, the first Eagle offer, the second PSA offer, the second eagle offer...

What possibly makes anyone think piedmont is getting more planes?

If Parker said it, it must be true!!

Years ago ATR brought an ATR-42 to SBY for a demo session. That's as far as it went along with returning a Dash-8-300 and with about 8 Dash-8-200's to the leasing company and every so called lead for more planes went no where. Some 100's were also returned.
JAX and ORF bases went by the wayside and 4 frames left the fleet last year, 906,907,908 reached cycle limits and one more, I think 934 was totaled on a wheels up landing at EWR. Another 2 will reach cycle limits this year.
Parts are hard to come by thus the parked planes will be cannibalized to keep the fleet airborne.

So sad, some good people at PDT.
