When SWA came in and bought an airline like Morris Air, how did the pilot seniority integration happen? Where did those guys end up?

Did you know...

The founder of Morris Air sold his airline to SWA.

Did you know...

This founder pocketed 10s of millions and then worked for SWA.

Did you know...

He quit SWA, got bored and started a new airline.

Did you know...

This new airline is Called...ta da...jet blue

saw him interviewed a couple of days ago on 60 minutes.

just a little trivia thought you might like to know.

I can only pass along what my SWA contacts have said in the past. The integration was done in such a way that it is considered to be the most successful seniority merge in the history of the airline biz. However, it caused enough problems to make SWA management declare that they would never, ever again acquire another airline.

I thought that N. was at SWA, then went to Morris, and then was bought out by SWA. Part of the Morris buy-out agreement was that he could not create a "competitor" in the USA for something like five years. He then went up to Canada. When the buy-out clause expired, JetBlue surfaced. Personally, I think it is a Mormon conspiracy (Disclaimer: that was a joke).
