Okay fellas,
I am looking at some trips in open time (not to pick up, but for reserves!) They are x pairings and go out to one base and then back to domicile, and the back out to another base. Once at the other base there is a dead head return to domicle. I am new at this game so here is my question...if you return to your domicile on an international trip, don't you get some more time off, trip is over, and you get full pay? Thanks

Found it, I think:

It's a stretch, but check out 12.D.1.d and 12.D.1.b.i. Looks to me like you don't warrent the 48hr intl buffer on these flights.

They'll just split the trip into two and give you both if you have the reserve footprint...the irony, you'll lose out on the per-diem on the layover in domicile.

That's my guess, at least. Let us know what they do.

The answer to the question that I think you are asking is yes...but the description is confusing, how about a pairing number.

You'd think this type of question would be best handled in house, not on FI.

Couldn't you say that about every post on this freak show of a carnival?

It's more of a head scratcher than anything else. Never seen that type of scheduling before.

P.S. Could you let us know when you're gonna start posting something usefull so we can start paying attention to you again.

Questions about trip legalities should be immediately directed to:

Either you get a contract explanation that you can trust or the problem gets brought to the attention of someone who can get it fixed. Either way you win.

I did noticed those trips in Open Time for -11 ANC, and if you are new it is a legit question. I've been here 5 years and have never seen pairings built like that.

I found them odd becasue you returned to ANC with a hotel and transportation at your base. How does that happen?
