I was wondering if it is possible to be a newhire (within your first year)on the 767 international and be able to bill the company for 120-140 hours per month?

Thanks

Are the hiring rumors still going around for later this year?

On occassion you can doing the "rolling thunder" with greenslips. You've gotta start early in the month and get it going, though.

Hiring rumors are still going for early winter. A new bid will be out within a couple weeks to staff the new 777's.

Yes it would be possible. Just flew with a 10 year fo who averages 125 hours a month in pay. 70 @ normal pay the other 55 hours X 1.5 for pay.

Yes.

I billed for more than 120 hours on the 88 and the ER was shorter in coverage. 'Not sure about domestic.

Tanker, I've flown with some great guys in the the tanker community. Kind of like P-3 guys. Have you thought of applying? With some therapy and self help tapes we can all pass the cog. test.

I have so many connections, I wouldn't even have to apply to get hired at Song...er Delta. It's still my back up if the major aren't hiring when I retire in a few years.

Freightdog...what do you care? Don't be mad at me because you can't afford blumpkins anymore.

It disturbs me that you follow my career so closely. I would think my tax dollars would fund spy missions slightly more interesting than investigating my sex life.

Honestly, I had to google "blumpkin" to make sure I wasn't being insulted. My research has come up with the following definition...

giving a blowjob to someone while they are deficating

I never knew I was actually expected to pay for that kind of servicing. Seeing as how your wife volunteered it to me on our first date, I always kinda figured it was "gratis".....

Maybe your "blumpkins" are De riguer in the rear echelon Air Force, but please spare us the details of how you earn brownie points with your Colonel....

Possible? Yes.

Likely? No.

The only way would be through white, yellow or green slips (picking up extra time) and those are awarded by seniority. If the new contract passes, green slip pay goes from 1.5x pay to 2x pay, so expect a lot more senior guys to put in for them. You'll have better luck putting in white or yellow slips but they are just straight pay. That might get you to the 100 hour mark but then you'd have no days off.

Well this month has been really good for Green slips. I have had a few. I have been able to bank four of my days off and still had 15 days at home. Granted only eight of those were hard off days, but I was basically illegal to fly the other seven.
If you know how to play the game, and make sure that you are too far down the list to get nailed for short call you can still get some quality time at home. I worked 15 days for 100 hrs of pay in July. There is one ER guy in JFK that had six green slips for the months. Now we all need to take notes from him.
It looks like this weekend will be another good weekend for them here in ATL.
