Hi,

Curious if someone can help out a commuter.

I live in Bayonne, NJ...born and raised. It is my understanding that quite a few CAL and CALex pilots have crash pads here, some that are affiliated with the company. I commute to BOS quite often, where I am based with a Continental Connection carrier.

I tried to get a parking pass at EWR, but after just a couple of months, I had it suspended because I was told I am not an EWR based crew-member. I asked if I could pay for some kind of monthly pass or something, and nothing like that exists. So now I am back to trying to get rides, or paying a bundle in long-term parking costs when I have to drive myself.

Does anyone know if there are shuttle vans that go from any of these Bayonne crash pads to EWR? Even if I had to pay a few bucks, it would be an enormous help to me. Because Bayonne is so close to the airport, there is no way to take public transit without going through about 3 or 4 different connections through Jersey City, Hoboken, and Newark...if you were wondering why I don't go that route.

Send me a message, or respond here. Thanks again. Maybe one day I'll get on with CAL, and none of this will matter anymore. :)

Car/van pool with the Mesa guys?

hey if you have a car the econo lodge in elizabeth will let you park there for $5 a day.....i called pretty much every hotel in the ewr area and that was the cheapest i found. 908-436-0427 is their number

Also the Four Points Sheraton right next door has a similar deal. Park there and take their van to the airport.
