Northwest takes two offline jumpseaters, some of the captains and good gate agents have been known to allow an extra offline pilot or two onboard. This is very rare though
NWA takes two jumpseaters in the back(if there is a seat in the cabin) and any available JS in the cockpit if in the CASS system. This is per our FOM...
Examples.
DC9 and 757 a max of 3 JS. One in the JS and two in the back.
320 a max of 4. Two in JSs and Two in the back.
Some stations might allow more than the 2 limit in the back. I believe that we are looking to change that to unlimited in the back...
Hope thet helps!
hey applepapa, how do you come up with 3 jumpseaters...? Midwest takes 4 JSs.2 cockpit of which one has to occupy cabinseat if available (1 in the cockpit) and 2 cabin jumpseat jumpseaters. can't find anywhere that offline JS are limited....
I had a bichy station manager show me the manual where it states only one OAL js'er per Midwest flight. I went to the gate and got on anyway (2 OAL'ers). Go figure.
