Well, I did the phone screening and was invited to the Oct 28th interview with JetBlue. My question is, has anyone interviewed there recently. Has anything changed. Any advice or things to avoid with the whole process. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

I applied the first week in April. Thats why I was a bit suprised to get a call.

Thank you very much. I will contact him.

Love the Avitar!!!!!

Call Albie, and best of luck!

I would also suggest contacting Albie to prep. Make sure though that you make your appointment several days before the actual interview. That way you can have time to process the information, and, if applicable, (not sure how Albie works) ask additional questions of him. Coming from someone who also does interview prep, it is pretty hard to prepare someone the day before an interview and have them be successful! :) You need time to process.

what was the phone interview like? Just in case I am lucky enough to receive one of these calls, I would like to be prepared. Also, what kind of time do you have(Longhorn) or background?

I was hired this year without Albie's help, but I had a good gouge on the process. Best advice I could give you is to read "Checklist for Success" by Cheryl Cage. Have several (maybe 10-12) good stories about your past. Stories where you could demonstrate that you actually learned something.

Not sure if Cage Consulting is still doing interview preps or not, but do a google search and find out.

Just be yourself. Be honest and open.

Good luck to you!

BTW...I'm not discouraging you from getting Albie's help, just saying that it can be done successfully without him. I've had more interviews/jobs than I care to remember and felt comfortable going into the interview without much outside help besides the gouge I found on this site and pilotinterviews.com.

Longhorn,

Is this in addition to the Oct. 5th interviews, or was the 5th moved back to the 28th.

Thanks.

There will be two sessions in October, both the 5th and 28th. The one on the 5th is a small group and the 28th is a standard group of 80 or so candidates. Some of the folks from the 5th session "may" fill spaces in a November class while the 28th session is for classes next year.

C yaaa

Actually, Albie is a gay albino dwarf hired by FedEx only because of his superior skills playing youth soccer.

OK, ok, I'm just jealous of his fame and world renowned reputation...;)

Go see Albie. Pay the money. Get the job.

You know I was pretty skeptical about Albie since I kinda fancied myself as being pretty sharp and able to put together a good thought for an interview. But as a friend pointed out: even Tiger Woods has a coach.

I used Albie and was thoroughly impressed.

If you go down and meet with him in person, you might get a little help from his beautiful wife, too! She did a great job as well. Seen Albie at the OAK hotel not to long ago. We (B6) were checking out (at 10pm) and he and his crew (FDX) were checking in  Kind of Ironic, don't ya think

Thanks Albie.....
