Hi,

Do these airplanes have autothrottle or auto brake?

Thanks
They better, the pilots sure are not getting paid enough to worry about little hassles like throttles and brakes.

BOOOWWWWYYYEEEEEEEAAAAH....coud not have said it better myself!

Flya380,
I believe they all have autothrottles. As far as autobrakes, I think Jetblue has them, not sure about Air Canada. RAH doesn't.

Yes, to the autothrottles....work great. We have autobrakes but we can only use them for RTO right now due to a problem we are having with the LOW/MED auto brake feature. The plane jerks quite a bit when the shuttle valve transfers preasure from the auto to man brakes if you step on the brakes below around 70 kts. The work great but not really smooth when the transfer happens. I dont know all the details of why so if someone else can further clarify that would be great.

BTW G2T....Nice Goat.....:-)

Best answer ever.

Ah autothrottles... I miss autothrottles. Course I also miss trailing link gear, the capability to fly faster than 260 kts without having to descend over 1000ft/ min, a functioning APU, a plane that actually climbs at 200+kts, dispatch/load control, a set schedule. But at least I am now making enough to buy a house, even if it's a fairly small one.

RAH: Auto Throttles - yes (not the best I've seen - struggles with gusty winds on approach)
Auto Brakes - no.
Sexy jet - almost.

I'm hanging in just fine. Just got the info for Simcom. Will be a captain in less than 2 weeks. Then I'll be making about double what I would right now at Mesaba. Just wish the planes here were a little better quality. WAY too many things seem to be breaking on these 550's. Never seen so many different problems with one airplane.
