question for airline pilots

I know if you work for ASA or Comair you can fly for free, or very cheap on delta, but what about other carriers?

If a pilot works for skywest or air wisconsin and wants to buy a first class ticket on delta do you get a discount? Not that you could actually afford one while working for free for two months at skywest, but thats another thread....

depending on what company you work for you should get free pass benefits on the mainline co. whose colors your flying, but that's not always the case particularly if you go to one of those contract carriers. had a friend at chitty flying for american and they could only fly on chitty flights not any other american flights, so be careful who you go to if non-rev'ing is important

Most airlines have travel agreements with most other airlines. You usually get what's called an ID90....

example:

I just got my parents 2 passes PHL-LAS on America West. Our pass bureau, looked up the most expensive y fare, which was somewhere around $1000....I then had to pay (roughly) 10% of that fare for a round-trip standby pass.

this is available to every employee of my airline. also check out...

No.

Employees of other airlines may not purchase regular tickets at a discount at Delta.

They may purchase interline standby tickets (ID90) and the possibility is there that they will be seated in first class on a space available basis - however the seat is not confirmed. While this is Delta's policy it also tends to be the industry standard.

I think the blue chicken carriers fly on AA at a really loooooow boarding priority, but they do fly. The dirt on the airplane has a higher priority, though.
