Roughly 6000USD/Month for a senior biscuit chucker with SAS. They are generally considered among the highest paid in Europe.

Just for comparison, and don't forget to factor in the 50% tax-rate before you set sails!

Yeah, but you can be unemployed and still live like a KING!!

habu

Not quite, but you won't go hungry to bed either. If you are on social services you'll collect around 1000USD/Month + have your housing rent paid. If you're on the union it depends on your previous salary, but the maximum will be around 2500USD/Month. Education, health care and so on is of course free of charge regardless of your income, or lack thereof. There is a reason the taxes are so high ..

Forgot to add, the Scandinavian countries are hardly known for being cheap to live in. In Denmark, for instance, you may enjoy a 5USD Big Mac. That's the burger, not the meal. How about paying 205% in taxes on your car? Need a haircut? That'll be from around 40USD and up for a bloke, times 3 for a sheila. A 1600sgft house in a Copenhagen suburb is close to 400K USD. You may buy a 800sqft apartment in a less-posh area of CPH for around 250K USD. And so on and so forth. Yes, salaries are high but so are the living costs. Copenhagen is one of the most expensive cities in Europe, if not the world, to live in for an expat and only marginally cheaper for a local.
