SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- FedEx Corp. said Friday that its board approved a 14.3% quarterly dividend increase to 8 cents a share. The dividend is payable July 1 to shareholders of record as of June 10.

A little math (I was told there would be no math on this exam!). 8 cents doesn't sound like much.

302 million shares outstanding
.08 per quarter or .32 per year

$96,640,000 per year

Over a five year span (assuming no more increases) = $483,200,000

THAT IS ALMOST 500 MILLION DOLLARS

Food for thought..........

No S$it

14.3% vs. 3% and we have to work! I'm ready to fall on my sword for this one. If we displayed the same level of integrity as these scumbags -- we'd be fired, or never hired in the first place. I'm starting to believe that these management types are nothing more than criminals, they just dress a little nicer than the rest. One more day of Retro Pay.
Fox 3 (really, right in the lips)

Boy I sure hope the busses aren't late bringing folks back from the demonstration.

It  suuuurrre  would be a shame if the afternoon sort was a tad behind schedule.

The word on the street is that hats are back ordered with a two week wait. It sounds as if there may be increasing interest and anticipation in the upcoming phase of negotiations.

Got my hat last year too (thanks Fred)....still sitting in the plastic ready to go!

One more day....

You'll need your FedEx hat for info picketing, strikes and pilot funerals.

Otherwise keep 'em wrapped up!

I ordered mine a few weeks ago because they didn't have my size in stock (a very popular size, they said). When it arrived, it was missing the fancy stuff on the brim. In other words, they sent an FO hat instead of a Capt hat. From what they said, the company sent quite a few "wrong" hats. Anyway, they happened to have the correct size and decorations in stock yesterday, so I took it in to swap.

Previously, we had to obtain the hat insignia from a particular woman at FedEx. E-mail her, and she would pop one in your locker. According to VF Solutions (the uniform supplier), she has now turned the distribution task over to VF Solutions. I guess she was overwhelmed by the demand. :)

The Negotiations Unity Demonstrations WILL be held - - hang on to those hats!
