I would worry more about the hear-and-now vs. one of your career dreams. Your family needs you.

Having said that, what's the insurance like between the two. I know NetJets is awsome, but will they cover your wife and unborn now? What I mean is that you need to keep them covered. If you can get coverage at NJ take it. Otherwise, see if you can delay your class date a bit until your expanding family is covered.

With your low PIC Turbine, if you leave, you'll be a long, long way until you can move to FX.

At NetJets you are insured the day you start and I'm taking medical leave for an operation and I haven't reached my one year anniversary.

Insurance has nothing to do with FMLA - but if they cover you for family leave immediately, then good for you - take advantage of it. The Federal laws will not, however, back it up.

We just had a baby last year, and my sig. other was lucky to get any time at all. Because he had only been employed there for a short time, he was unable to use the FMLA.

You realize you need 3 internal recs at Fedex (preferably from people you've flown with.) Plus one of them has to "sponsor" you at a meet and greet.

Those are hard minimums.

I thought the REC's had to be people you have flown with operationally, didn't think "preferably" was an option. Also, I thought that the sponsor DOESN'T have to actually flown with you, just vouch for you at the meet and greet.

So if you haven't flown with the sponsor, you need the three recs AND the sponsor. If you HAVE flown with the sponsor, you can use him as one of the three recs.

Is that not the case?
