You don't even overseas either, genius. But hey, that 321 makes you feel like a man, right? I'm guessing you're one of the 18 year FOs. The Captain probably doesn't include you in the fuel discussions because you don't have the experience to make those sorts of decisions. Why don't you just sit quietly and let the adults talk.

Crzi-
I'm sorry about this *(writers remorse). It was a little below the belt and I'll think we both should be above these type of comments. With apologies, we'll just agree to disagree.

There is simply no data showing an effort on the East to waste fuel.

The only "data" the westholes have are fictitious webboard posts by other westholes.

Like the ones claiming someone ran an APU across the Atlantic. Or someone had an APU running with both engines....

There are operational reasons to have the APU running with both engines. For example, MELed Generator or a Bleeds off TO.

Oh Weasel, you ARE a good "Union Pilot". You make your Uncle Bradford so proud!

Mesa sucks?

ROTFLMAO. Tension Breaker! Seriously, thank you! That reminded me I have to take a step away from the keyboard and lighten up a little from time to time. I appreciate the comment.

Actually, those weren't supposed to be accusations, but an example of the accusations you guys are making. Anyways, once again I can see there's not a whole lot of a chance to have a rational debate regarding it.

as to my experience....about 8 years of atlantic and pacific crossings....sooooo...ya I got some time there..

Wow, I did not know such things. Wow, whew, you learn something new everyday I guess.

Teach me more Weasel.

(sigh) Rational? What's happened between East and West is way beyond rational. Choosing the nuclear option to defend a mere EIGHT pilots who are wastefully tankering extra fuel around is not rational.

"Sooooo".....I know it's fun for you guys to tell each other that AWA is comprised of a bunch of glorified turbo-prop pilots. However, there are a lot of us who brought a lot of Atlantic and Pacific experience with us as well.

PS. I'm sorry you can't hold the international stuff anymore. Good luck with that.

OK this thread is getting bad.....the guys added extra fuel...no more than 2500lbs from what I hear. What's the problem? Why was this even questioned? The fact that it is not only being questioned but they were removed from the line to go back to training is a problem. I think diverting somewhere would be alot more than 2500lbs worth of fuel. We were over fueled the other day by mistake but had to send 2 messages to dispatch. First letting them know for the release, second that we did not ask for it so we didn't get removed for some extra training. Maybe there was another way to deal with it.....take the required amount on your release.....after what maybe 3 or 4 diversions for low fuel they would give the authority back to the captain? For the guy from the west that thinks we all taxi on 2 engines doesn't happen. I wouldn't make it out of philly ever taxiing on 2 engines and would have to go back to the gate constantly. And I'm sure we would be brought in if we ever went back to the gate.

Do you know specifically everyone is running the apu across the atlantic??? hmmmm.....doubtful. haven't been on a flight yet that has intentionally wasted fuel.

Although I have seen quite a few instances of West aircraft mosey down to the last intersection, during rush hour. It seems to happen most when ATC puts one in position and tells them to be ready for an immediate, due to Airbus/757 etc on final. Seems the aircraft that just landed takes a veryyyyyyyyyy long time to clear. Could it be intentionally trying to create a go around???? Increase the burn on the east side???

Probably don't like that acusation do you guys???? And hopefully that's not the case, and it isn't that big a deal to me I don't care, and don't know as I wasn't sitting on the flight deck seeing what was going on in there. Could be anything, so unless there and actually seeing the situation or hearing, (ahhhh almost got another go around)
Then I assume there isn't any mal intent intended.

Same thing with the APU across the atlantic comment, less your sitting there and know for sure. You don't have a clue.

.

And neither do you.
