Like I said, the cost of DOH or fences just doubled. Hope you are willing to take AOTHER steep pay cut to get your dream of screwing another pilot group. Doug kissed you arses since day one. I think that may just have changed.

Exactly, and much like the dog that gets kicked, us westies are gonna pay for this. I think I just puked on my shoes.
 
If the media does it's job and digs into this non story, it's gonna put all airline pilots integrity at question. This is a made up charge by USAPA that will go down as a huge blunder PR wise and negotiations wise. Parker will be looking for payback.

Also the money spent on a disingenuous full page USA today ad $112,000+ frivolous lawsuit against your own pilots $75,000 + money spent on helping furlougees $0.00 = lotso explaining to members. This is the worst union possible.
 
I happened to see this also on CNN. I have to say though that the older blond chick the one that said that she would fly Virgin because they have NEWER jets was a F-ing idiot.

Also the fat guy with a beard who Lary made out to be like a dork at the the end of the show was equally stupid for assuming that there's no problem regarding, pilots being pressured to fly with less fuel.

I loved how the guy at LAX asked about the FAA and what their role was in all this. I was surpirsed that a regular joe even knows what the FAA is. One of the blonds also mentioned that the FAA is in bed with the major airlines so nothing is being done...

The retired CAL captain made us all proud he spoke clearly and logically and made very good points especially about how this fuel problem will affect safety in the future. As much as I hate watching aviation stuff in the media for obvious reasons, this was actually kind of informative.

Also did anybody notice how pretty much every regular pax at the airport fumbled their questions? I wonder if CNN just picked random people and told them what to ask.

This isn't the kind of publicity that pilots want. This makes us look bad. xxxxxxx is going to all of this trouble for a few trouble makers that they really should have had Pro Stands take aside and slap upside the head.

Well done.--->You imply that I am a part of that union...I am not...maybe you need to get your facts in order...they are not "my guys", nor do I run around with the APU running ( nor have I even heard of it)...and how is it that you know this?

And, of course, I will not be the one to "bankrupt the company that much sooner."...seems the US Airways management is doing a fine job of that all by themselves.

Rememer...it is not the employees that send airlines into Chapter 11...it's the management.

...and why are you worried about it? Do you work there? Your concern should be on the almost 50% cutback in service at LAS thats coming up...furloughs...and the poor service at the PHL hub...

Do you know specifically everyone is running the apu across the atlantic??? hmmmm.....doubtful. haven't been on a flight yet that has intentionally wasted fuel.

Although I have seen quite a few instances of West aircraft mosey down to the last intersection, during rush hour. It seems to happen most when ATC puts one in position and tells them to be ready for an immediate, due to Airbus/757 etc on final. Seems the aircraft that just landed takes a veryyyyyyyyyy long time to clear. Could it be intentionally trying to create a go around???? Increase the burn on the east side???

Probably don't like that acusation do you guys???? And hopefully that's not the case, and it isn't that big a deal to me I don't care, and don't know as I wasn't sitting on the flight deck seeing what was going on in there. Could be anything, so unless there and actually seeing the situation or hearing, (ahhhh almost got another go around)

Same thing with the APU across the atlantic comment, less your sitting there and know for sure. You don't have a clue.

There is simply no data showing an effort on the East to waste fuel.

The only "data" the westholes have are fictitious webboard posts by other westholes.

Like the ones claiming someone ran an APU across the Atlantic. Or someone had an APU running with both engines....

There are operational reasons to have the APU running with both engines. For example, MELed Generator or a Bleeds off TO.
