Geezus ... I've seen threads about this Philly phenomenon here previously, and I've seen it on other forums as well, so it must be pretty bad.

It blows my mind that such a highly-skilled, generally well-educated, professional employee group (pilots) is often at the mercy of people who are, for all practical purposes, the bottom of the barrell. I'm not a racist (I'm half Jewish and married a black woman), nor am I an elitest. But for Christ Sakes ... can't regional airline/airport management do better than THAT!?!

More important then delays, etc - can you get a good cheese steak in the airport?

If you have less than an hour break then no. Your food choices for the F Terminal are as follows:

Jet Rock - Decent but pricey and don't expect to get your food quickly
Sbarro - ugh
Asian Chow - Avoid the Bourbon Chicken as every now and then they have a bad batch or two

That's about it. 3 choices and after a month you get REALLY tired of it.

As FO's ... Zero...If it's not zero, I'd be shocked...Why would they do that..To stay in PHL??? Yeah right...If any of my Guys or Gals need a LOR (letter of Recommendation) to go to CHQ, let me know, I'll fire one off to you.

As a matter of fact, the rampers, when we were in the trailers, were supposedly from a Half Way house...Until a Fueler got "Shanked" in the cheek with a Pencil, I think that's when the program ended.

Nobody had to deal with the TSA as much as I did! My office was outside Security and I would go through more than 6 times a day.....I am suprised I never went to Jail!

I was CP there as well...They can have it! Who ever wants it!

Also, I think most of the rampers are on work release from jail. So WE have to go through security and put up with worthless white trash TSA pricks but they will allow prisoners to work the ramp.

Sorry, but I believe you have your commuters confused...PSA has the CRJ's...MDA (midAtlantic) has the 170's. I'm sure they will all come.....At least until Jetblue starts hiring for the 190!

I understand that. I replied to a profile that had E170 listed under his aircraft experience listing. I assumed he was an MDA pilot. Guess we will just have to wait and see how many want to come over. Should be interesting.
