what ever happened to the double tree at FLL and the Mayfair at MIA, and where was the long overnight in MCI...it was a cool hotel with some good stuff nearby and who could forget the long YUL or YYZ....ah the good ol days!!

There's also BHM and MGM. We stay in the Doubletree in MGM, for now at least. I think we still do the PWM short overnight out of CLT on the 700. MYR is close to town and a walk to the beach in a decent hotel. Other than that, we're out in an industrial park somewhere.

Anybody else see a trend here? All of the good places to stay going away... like all short overnights on the 700 every holiday. PSA - the fun police!

BHM has been moved from Dowtown to hotel by the airport. Nice hotel, but nothing around for your 22 hr overnight. THOUGH the van will take ya to Lakeview <???> area, for some evening entertainment, well worth it. Cab is 10-15 back, as the bars run to the late late hours......make sure you have that 5pm departure....

Got a chance to stay at Molly's Country Inn in DC a few years back due to Ronald Reagans funeral. About an hour away. Came complete with hard water stains, hairy sheetz and a 13 inch black and white Zenith with rabbit ears.
