m - breigh - er (like a pirate)

Let's ask Lowecur,

What about it bud?

BTW, I heard "m-brer" as in brer (e as in edward) when I started flying brasilias.

enigma

When I was working in Brazil, the locals pronounced it em-brair ( I think this is pretty close to what enigma is suggesting) It's a contraction for Empresa Brasilera Aeronautica. The Em, from Empresa is pronounced em, the br in Brasilera is pronounced br and the Aer in Aeronanautica is pronounced air, just like the aer in aeronautic is pronounced here. Those who would pronounce it em-bray-air or em-bray-er apparently aren't aware that the ae is a dipthong which forms a single vowel, not two discrete sounds...as it would be in hawaiian which has no dipthiongs.

On a similar note, some trivia:

The EMB-110 was the Baderante.
The EMB-120 was the Brasilia.
The EMB-135/145 was the ???

Any guesses?
