Hi!

Who are they?

It is a rare domestic order for Boeing, which is also selling the 787 to Continental Airlines (CAL: news, chart, profile) and upstart Primaris Airlines.

Primarius in LAS

A search of the board should reveal so info, however they are based in LAS, the last I heard from last summer 04, was they were in the proving run mode with a 757 configured in a total first class seating arrangement with plans for ops to Europe to JFK and to LAS..

Dont know much more.....It was news to me that they orderd 787's until todays report from NWAs order...

Hi!

Interesting.

Providing a high-quality service at a reasonable price. For successful companies, maybe Toyota is an example.

I think it will be hard for them to deliver this service at prices that will entice enough customers to make money.

Last fall Primaris was carting around the press corps following Air Force One, in one heck of a nice 757.

Saw their 757 in PHL this morning. Sure looked sharp. They surely had to be doing proving runs, cause it was completely empty.

I spoke with some Primaris guys as I was flying the limos around for the VP - they carried the "whiney" press corps - their words not mine :-)
Theya re old National and Eastern and the FO I met was USAIR

Wtf

Had a friend interview there today for a B757 Capt. slot. They offered him $56,000 to start and promised him Jet Blue + 10,000 after they "got going." He told them he would pass on this unbelieveable opportunity. Give me a break! is this what we have become?

All of this was driven by the lenders according to the folks in HR. Driven by the low numbers that JB were derived from when starting out.

If that was the case, I appologize for bringing up the rear. For a majority of Jetblue pilots, it is not our intention to bring up the rear on pay and benefits. We are working towards a pay and benefits package that will move all of us forward instead of pulling us backward. Thank you for your patience.

If what you say is true, then the first thing you all can do over there is firmly reject those horrible wages proposed for the Embraers coming. It's time to play hardball don't you think? If you guys don't take action to stop those wages from being implemented, then god help us all!

Great. The company's playing "good cop, bad cop" before they even have a contract!

The US Air people will find this familiar.

How exactly does a non-union pilot "reject" horrible wages? As a CommutAir pilot working for peanuts, I'd genuinely like to know what you'd suggest.

CA1900,

Excellent question... gets to the heart of the matter, don't ya think ?

Upper Echelon

Let's see, the upper brass are all from defunct airlines?

And their business model - didn't Midwest Express go with an all business class configuration? How can they make money?
