Why would a pilot have a level of prestige anywhere close to a firefighter, doctor, or teacher?

They were given 23 choices and airline pilot was not one of them.

No, 40 years ago you would've seen DC8, 747, and Constellation pilots on there. Not RJ button pushers.

My question? Who gives a crap?

Nurses prestigious????? That's hilarious.

Exactly. Who enters into any career for prestige? Only those with low self-esteem, I guess.

Airline management. No wait...they're in it for the ability of screwing their employees to profitability, then rewarding themselves with bonuses and stock options, then raising fares to what it actually costs to produce the product, then slapping themselves on the back for the "genius" profit wind-falls that result from their "plan."

Prestige, is standing with a cup of coffee in your hands while watching a guy or girl with better health benefits and pay kneel next to your plane, stacking boxes in the pod.

Fly because you like to, etc

Who watches ABC news?

Especailly with Katie Couric soon to be the anchor, or am I the only one that can't stand her? Anyone else hear about her recent commercial flight incident? Guess the rules don't apply to her.

and...

...if you are doing this job for the prestige you are doing it for the wrong reason.

"the pod" You can always tell a Jetstream pilot! (not that there is anything wrong with that)
