Capt Z Did they tell you if indoc will be in clt or phx? There's about 12 of us getting paroled from PSA that are in the 3/17 clt class. Welcome aboard.

Hey Surf,
Just from what I read on FI someplace and heard from another one of our "token 5", I gather that indoc will be in PHX. I should have asked Mr. D in HR the other day. He will be calling us in a few days with our "official notice". I will ask him then and will be happy to share with you. I did hear from another one of our Capt's that all the new interviews will be done in CLT now, I wonder if that could possibly change the location of indoc. too???????
Thanks for the welcome and glad you guys are breaking out!
Soon to be FO"Z"

During the invterview at PHX, they did tell me that our indoc would be for two weeks in PHX. Then they would split us up into groups for aircraft training.

Gathering from the info from everywhere, there are going to be 5 from PDT, 12 from PSA. Plus, how many ever they decide to add.

Apparently, I am supposed to be in 3/17 class so I will see you all in PHX.

P.S. If you have an access to theHub, you can look at their training manuals, checklists, QRHs, etc., for all their aircraft types, plus FOM training manual and the actual FOM. All their bulletins are there also. Just go to Flightcrew Info>Flight Operation>Electronic Library

First part answer:

Spoke to our PDT prez. the other day and he said 5 of us will have a class date on the 17th. I was "unofficially" told by Mr. D (PHX HR) That he will be calling us in a few days to set up the pee test and give us a heads up on receiving an overnight package from FED EX with the official welcome letter.

IT DOESN'T GET MORE UNOFFICIALLY OFFICIAL THAN THAT I GUESS.......
(not even sure what that last statement means.)

Have you gotten anything from HR??

Mr. D called and left a message for me just now, to inform me that I will officially be in 3/17 class and that he will be sending me pee test information.

Anyone got a similar call??

I and 3 others (waiting to hear on the 4th) got the call as well for class on the 17th. 2 weeks of indoc in PHX with space positive tickets back home for the weekend to spend time with family. Drinking a few brews right now to practice for tomorrows pee test. Could not pry outa Mr. "D" what equipment or bases might be open to us..... he said we'd find out in indoc.
See ya in class Dirk!

are you guys all expecting the 190 or are some newbies going to the bus?..just curious

Airways should only be a backup plan. Better yet, once you get the job start applying to Delta, UPS, Fedex etc. with US Airways attached to your resume. Should help out a bunch.
