I think what everyone said is right on!! It all depends on the person that is flying the plane. If you dont feel that its right, then go around. Better to go around then to smack a airplane into the ground.
 
Go around anytime circumstances preclude a safe and/or comfortable landing for you. For example, you could be lined up with a beautiful approach, able to make a safe touchdown, but there's a coyote taking a dump 1500' down the runway (true story!), pour in the coals.

Of course, if you are in an engine-out apache at 50', full load at 7000'DA and something is in the way, hit it. (well, try a glancing maneuver!)
 
At night, when you are lined up with what you think is the runway but you are really lined up with a road.
