Hello,
I took the oral for my private but did not do the flying part due to weather and got a letter of discontinuance. Am I allowed to go fly solo before the flight part tommorrow? Or are you not allowed to fly again before the flight part of the test? Thanks.

go fly solo

if your 90 day solo endorsement is still ok and you're not flying somewhere that needs an endorsement (although your cfi could give it to you if you wanted) your fine.

provided you have your logbook, medical, and photo id with you

I think you mean =certificate=, medical and photo id. (and, of course, logbook if it's a cross country flight)

As a student pilot, I believe you are required to have your logbook with you when you fly solo whether it be a cross country or the pattern. This is because it contains your endorsement to solo.

But your endorsment is also on the back of your student cert. I never needed a seperate endorsement for every solo flight. Just the X/C.

I got a seperate endorsment for the different aircraft I was flying though.

(l) Limitations on student pilots operating an aircraft in solo flight. A student pilot may not operate an aircraft in solo flight unless that student pilot has received:

(1) An endorsement from an authorized instructor on his or her student pilot certificate for the specific make and model aircraft to be flown; and

(2) An endorsement in the student's logbook for the specific make and model aircraft to be flown by an authorized instructor, who gave the training within the 90 days preceding the date of the flight.

Nope. The regulation only requires the logbook for cross country. I guess the theory is that if it's a local flight, they can find the supporting endorsements easily enough, but that there is no way to effecivel makes sure that a specific cross country was endorsed.

Hello,
Thank you for telling me that. I passed my private checkride today. 14 months ( i live a busy life ) later and 50 hours later, I am done. Thanks.

Hey congrats man. Welcome to the disfunctional family.
