Let's not forget the Masters from ER; he needed that to teach at the Academy. He may have complained about the staff assignment going into it, but he enjoyed the management experience he gained being in charge of all rated assignments for USAFE. His resume speaks for itself. We're not worried. That said, we care very much for all of the NJ families and realize that others may not have the safety net that we do. He's as dedicated to this fight as he was to his other assignments.

Schedule

What is the schedule like at NJ(just curious since everyone is complaining) And yes, I am to lazy to run a search:rolleyes:

Those of you fighting the good fight will win this battle. You have faced adversity, and maintained your professionalism all the while. Years from now you will look back on these days of uncertainty, and smile, knowing that you succeeded in demanding fair treatment from a greedy management.

For obvious financial reasons, they are prolonging the inevitable.
They will blink first.

Currently the pilots bid for 3 different schedules: 17 day, 7&7, and the Flex. That is not the problem. Too many 14/10 s are generating the complaints.

Our schedules and work rules are generally better than our two largest competitors according to the pilots from those companies I have talked to and how they explained things.

The higher pay they receive is nice but not enough more for me to want to trade places. Several folks have come over to us from there and it can only be for the schedule and workrules because they took a paycut moving over.

Thanks, 7&7 isn't bad if that includes the commute to and from 14&10 sounds like it sucks though!! Good luck to you all, I'm looking at the Frac's but NJ's seems a little crazy at the moment.

Slowto250, I agree with you. Management is greedy but not stupid. Naturally, they were going to underpay the pilots as long as they put up with it. The bullying won't stop until you stand up for yourself! GO SU!

7/7 does not include commute. 14/10 is not so bad because with 91K prospective rest you know when the rest period will end and can plan accordingly. Plus you do not get that every day. I average 12 hours of duty at most. If you are tired you can just say so and get shutdown, so its your own fault if you get too many 14/10's.

I made the mistake of assuming that Busflyer had heard complaints about scheduling. Perhaps he's just trying to understand the general problem. Mostly the pay, (rather lack thereof) but other issues that speak directly to QOL as well.

clearly you have not done your research on the teamsters. You could have done much better and gotten much more. Just last year they were indicted for stealing from the pension plan funds in Boston. Not exactly who I would want to be associated with. You made your own bed good luck.
