I believe the new finishing date for mediation is July. What do you think will happen at NetJets in August or later?

1) Not released for self-help and status quo continues
2) Strike
3) Tenantive agreement passed by crewmembers

If (3), what would an agreement resemble as far as compensation and other benefits (gateways, etc.)?

I know these are difficult questions to answer and nobody has a crystal ball, but what are your gut feelings?

If you read the CrewOps website, the mediator had to go to an emergency mediation with Alaska Airlines. Supposedly, the mediation cutoff is now somewhere in July.

Data-

You actually read that propaganda and believe it? Might want to go re-read it anyway - I think the exact term was that the deadline "most likely" would be extended into July. In other words, that's what NetJets is hoping for. As far as the union is concerned, June 23rd is still the last day of mediated negotiations. It will remain that way until the mediator advises otherwise.

My answer to question # 3 ----

From the family perspective, compensation must be able to justify the time spent away from home, address the issue of lost wages for the past 3.5 years, and reflect the job that is done--anything less and the "silent partners" will vote --NOT JUST NO, BUT HELL NO!

PILOTS ARE PROFESSIONALS AND SHOULD BE PAID AS SUCH!

A RISING TIDE SHOULD LIFT ALL BOATS--NOT JUST THE YACHTS OF THE RICH!

He does something else, easily making just as much money--probably more! And is home every night. I think I could handle that. He may like the job, but if the wages aren't improved significantly, he won't be staying. I know other NJ pilots/families that say the same thing. The pilots of NJA are fighting to raise the bar for the whole industry--they deserve support!

What is he going to do work at Home Depot? It is a free country if he doesn't like it he should just leave. I think if they strike they are hurting the industry not helping it. He knew what he signed up for. We all know the schedule.

Nobody cares what you think. The only opinions that matter are those who have a vote and receive a ballot.

What makes you think I don't have a vote. Are you a Union Rep? Your response is typical of the union mentality

Companies striking DO NOT hurt the industry. NJA pilots have the same rights to self-help as any other airline group under the RLA. Did the Comair strike hurt the industry?

NJA pilots are entitled to the best contract they can negotiate and are leading the frac industry in unionized labor efforts. (That's not saying much considering the rest of the frac business is under-represented or non-union.)

I doubt they will be released to self-help soon. It takes a while for the NMB to get to that point. Good luck to them (except in the SC issue with NJI).TC

I'll second the go f**K yourself vote. Large stones you have wondering about post strike work. Don't worry about us and what's wrong with a good job at Home Depot? Free country, you bet your ass, and the 1st amendment is alive and well.

If you do have a vote then YOU should leave because You don't like it here. We like it here because there is a Union. Vote with your feet to the nearest non union shop.

I can see that the teamsters have worked wonders thus far, 3.5 years with no raises. Nice Job!

Well we get raise every year, it's just an old scale that we're trying to get fixed. Why do you care? Just a side show for your jollies? Have fun somewhere else ass**le.

I know that I'm repeating myself, but--here goes: He LIKES the job and is fighting for a better contract. I respect people who stand up for themselves and show self-worth. ANY organization is only as strong as its members are actively involved. NJ pilots have learned the damage that is caused by non-involvement. Things are different now, but you don't have to take my word for it...:) just look around for those great t-shirts....walking symbols of solidarity....I even have one!
I'm not saying that "clothes make the man". I'm saying the attitude does.

Joliman, I rarely eat bon-bons, thanks anyway! I take flavored creamer--fat free--in my coffee, though, since you offered...:) I could see my husband as a Manager at Home Depot, why not? He'd make more than he does now and could even come home for lunch. However, he has chosen to fight for what is right and I support that decision 100%!
