Does yours work in the X? How about in the hotels? I've seriously considered getting one of these, but wasn't sure how well it would work while out on the road. I have a Skyfi that I currently use at home and in a couple cars, and I love the thing....but would LOVE to have one that I can listen to on those long transcons.

Delphi also makes an adapter to power the Roady2 with a battery-powered "sleeve" of sorts... A bargain at something like $150! :)

As for the SkyFi, if you go on eBay I'll bet you can find an entrepreneur who makes a battery pack for your unit with a power plug on the end. Or, if you're handy and have a soldering iron, you could make your own.

So I went to Best Buy and they didn't want to match the price :(
I guess I'll have to try another Best Buy or order from compuplus.com...

I've seen it for around $215 online...

XMFanstore.com has it for $249, and you get a free XM Roady2 by mail after purchase. Not a bad deal IMHO (especially since I spent $110 for the Roady2!!).

Wouldn't hurt to have a spare radio in case the MyFi fritzes out, gets broken, gets stolen, etc...

might be worth trying another best buy. the one here wouldn't drop the price all the way (said it was below cost, most likely BS), but it seemed like whoever was working in car audio at the time was the one who decided. i would've got mine online but i wanted to get it in time for a long road trip.
