I had a couple of jackets made there, and had my leather AF jacket modified, they did a great job. There are other cheaper tailors that work on that same street, but Pop's seems to have the most reliable service and quality. I even got them to make me a leather IWB concealed carry holster for a Sig, just as good as the high end ones made here.

I've been there in person. They have a GREAT selection and take pride in their work. Good quality at low prices.

Pop does a great job. While you are there--go across the street and get some chicken tava and a tuborg.

The Turkish beer sucks. ;) TC

One leather jacket is now 10 years old and still looks brand new, the other one was stolen after five years and it looked brand new. If you have any kids stay away from the backpack because they will take it from you and you won't ever get to use it. But it still looks great after four years of abuse. And somehow I missed out on the chicken tava.

I had my AirTran leather A-2 custom made there a couple of months ago. I have some issues with AirTran's choice of that style for a uniform jacket, but Pops' service was absolutely fantastic. They inquired about seven or eight different measurements and custom cut the jacket for my freaky, dwarfish frame. I ordered the jacket on a Saturday night and received it the next Friday afternoon. Fits perfectly.

If I didn't live in the United Soviet Socialist Republic of Illinois, I would have had them put the concealed carry pocket in the thing, but it wasn't worth the extra $40 bucks for me. Got a neat AirTran embroidered logo sewed in the lining, though.

I have two other uniform leather jackets in my closet, my ATA jacket from Perrone Leather, and my Vanguard jacket from the San Diego Leather Jacket Factory. Pops' offered far more options and fitting details than either of the those, and cost far less than both. Mine ran $285 with a number of options (zip out Thinsulate liner, embroidery, epaulets, and name patch). Perrone's cost nearly 400 bucks, and SDLJF's ran just as much for a greatly inferior jacket (I use it for cigar herfs and walking the dogs now).

Had the old A2 modded there. I would like to have the "Blood Chit" sewed into the Perrone as a joke. Great service.

Picked up a really nice B-3 WW II repro jacket there back in April. Lots of compliments, paid $200 and you can't get anything like it here for less than 575. Also got some nice leather luggage, great price, really attractive. If you buy over there you save like 33% on the prices and also the shipping. They custom tailored the jacket for me, same day service.

Forget the POPS Leather crap, you'll have plenty of time for shopping...............Hop in the nearest cab outside of the main gate and yell..."COMPOUND ABBI"!!!!
.....Only my former INCIRLIK folks here can grasp what I'm talking about!Geez I miss those days.

Is that the Turkish prison where a guy can put his wife in jail in his place? And the prison is actually a whore house where the women are "checked out" to anyone who comes up to the door? If so, I had a guy on my crew who contracted some wild strain of VD and had to stay in Turkey for a long time because he performed oral sex on a Turkish prison prostitute chick. That is Darwinism at its highest form.

Nah nothin like that from what I can remember...then again it's been about 10 years ago, things change, kind of reminded be of a Holland red light district when I went.....Oh yea I skipped the main course your buddy chose!!

Back to POPS..

I had a custom jacket made there years ago. I took what I liked from multiple jackets and made my own.... quality product.... good stuff...

I had some dealings with their US rep (a Fedex Pilot I believe). I got a very favorable impression of thier operation. The jackets that we looked at were all great quality.

Pops is a great outfit. Ordered two A2 style jackets over the internet and received exactly what I asked for in less than two weeks, custom made. I've been there too and bought several nice items off the shelf. Highly recommend.

I wish FedEx used Pops for their jackets. Took me over three months to get mine, not to mention the cost. I think they're even made in Tennessee too.

incirlik is defintely great for Tava and some Tuborg, but i'd get my A-2 at Pop's only if i was there in person, if ordering online, i'd definitely get mine at uswings.com, 100% authentic WW2 replicas and great leather with great return service if size is wrong or something...of coarse it may cost a bit more, but it's worth it in my opinion..
