Sharon Jasper has been victimized. Sharon Jasper has been rabidly wronged. She has become a Section 8 care case "the victim of ever changing public housing policies. Sharon Jasper has spent 57 or her 58 years dedicated to one cause and one cause only, and has nothing to show for her dedicated servitude. She has lived in Section 8 housing all but 1 of her 58 years. It was a legacy passed down from her parents who moved into Section 8 housing in 1949 when she was six months old. She has passed the legacy down to her children, but fears they may have to get jobs to pay for the utilities and deposits. She laments about her one year hiatus from the comfort of her Section 8 nirvana,' I tried it for a year..you know, working and all. It's not anything I would want to go through again, or wish on anyone in my family, but I am damn proud of that year.'

My guess is that she's voting for Obama.

And maybe thats a good guess....but the reality is that she has lived this lifestyle with both Republicans and Democrats calling the shots from Washington DC...regardless of whatever the campaign rhetoric was.

Bottom line is....no matter who is elected, John McCain or Barack Obama...that woman will continue to live the exact same lifestyle that she has lived most of her life.

Sadly, you're right.

Two things: 1)What is the picture in your avatar of? 2)The grass really is greener outside of aviation.

To answer your question;

1) Michael Palin and John Cleese in Monty Python's Dead Parrot sketch, quite possibly the funniest comedy bit EVER! (Cleese: This Parrot is no more/It has ceased to be/ It is a stiff/bereft of life it rests in peace/If you hadn't nailed it to the perch it would be pushing up the daisies/ It has died and joined the choir invisible/This is an Ex-Parrot. Palin: Well I guess we'd better replace it then.).
and
2) Ain't that the truth!

Peace.

On another note. I can now understand why we have militias. I think its very un-American to oppose them since it is our constitutional right.

Get me a swastika tatooed between my eyes, and sign me up. No offense, Charlie.

I think what pilots who plan to vote for McCain need to ask themsleves is how much are they willing to sacrifice. A vote for McCain is a vote to degrade the professional pilot profession and way of life.

The GOP after the Dubai Ports scandal drafted legislation to equate a labor strike to an act of terrorism thus allowing gov't resources to respond.

Efforts through the Transportations Trades Dept. www.ttd.org
stopped the legislation.

If you are a Air Line Pilot voting for McCain... you need to ask youself... how low are you willing to go?

lower middle class?
upper lower class?
middle lower class?

How low?

I agree completely. McCain supports cabotage, McCain doesn't support labor's right to self help. I certainly don't want a McCain Administration negotiaing "Open Skies" or any other trade treaties. Additionally, I don't want a McCain Administration, given his anti-labor history, selecting the members of the NMB that will oversee contract negotiations.

However, even if we went beyond the obvious damage McCain would do to this profession, he's fiscally irresponsible and supports a war of aggression, which has cost us over 4,000 dead, over 30,000 wounded and over $550B and growing.
