I may be the only one who feels this way, but this new format just does'nt feel like home anymore.

Yea,

I still have not been able to edit a post, once I posted it. I guess I'll have to read
around a little harder.

Looks like flightinfo.com got caught up in making the site look pretty at the cost of functionality.

I miss my flightinfo.com!

I think people in general are creatures of habit and are basically resistant to change. We were all used to the old format, comfortable with it, etc. I think once we get used to this format, then maybe everyone might wind up liking this one better than the old one.

The only negative I really see is not being able to edit your post after 10 mins. But there are other BBSs where there are similar restrictions on editing (although none I can think of have times as short as 10 mins). If there were a way to be able to edit or delete your post whenever you wanted, then I think this new format would be just fine. No complaints. I actually kind of like having all the tools readily available.

Change it back!!!!!!!!!

The new one SUX.

You guys have got to be kidding!

The time limit on editing kind of sucks, but I bet that's just a configuration change.

I think the new software is a huge upgrade. Lot's of user interface improvements. My favorite is the threaded and hybrid views.

I have to agree. It takes a little while to figure out where all of the old commands are but, overall, I like the new format better. Let's keep it. Just give a little while...I'm sure it'll grown on you.

As far as the editing goes...type what you really mean or correctly the first time and you shouldn't have to edit. Just post a reply to the message that an "edit" pertains to if you change your opinion on something. Nothing too difficult with that.

Happy contrails!

I think it looks good, guess I'm solo though.

You got to be kidding me, this software is so much more up to date, and has so many more function. Another forum I am a member on recently moved over to this software and everyone complained just like here. I dont get it.

someone should set up the poll so we can have a clear consensus.....im still undecided but i waver toward the old way......

Often we waste effort wishing for things that aren't going to happen. This site is not going to go to an older version, it has been upgraded and usually you can't go back! Quit yer bitzin...

The change is great! I love being able to check out the first few lines of a thread before I click on it to see if it's worth reading!

Keep It! I can get used to changes!

Quick Reply is not the popup message preview you're talking about. Quick Reply was the box at the bottom of a thread to reply to the thread. It appears to slow down the thread loading...

One thing I noticed, specially usefull on long threads, is that when I received an email notification all I had to do was click on the link and it would take me to the new post. The few I received with the new format just take me to the beginning of the thread. Anyone else has that issue? Overall I just think it takes getting used to.
