Im looking for a place to do my high alt sign off near chicago... anyone know of a spot.
May I ask why you are needing a high altitude, why not just wait until you get typed in a plane? That way its not out of your own pocket.

If you pay for that, you're crazy and wasting money. Call Oak City and the FAA will tell you what airforce bases have a chamber that have classes for civilians. There are quite a few I belive and it's either free or like 30 bucks or something really cheap. The chamber is also a lot cooler than some pointless ride in a Pilatus that doens't really teach you anything.

I have the chance to fly a C414 and need it to act as PIC... I can do it in the sim for like 300 just wanted to see if anything was cheaper

Why not do it in the 414? What is the service ceiling of a 414?
