Wondering if anyone over at Pinneacle could provide any updates on the contract negotiations? Best of luck to all over there...

Nothing going on since the company walked away, so now we are just waiting for the amendable date and the clock to start. I'd say it will take a couple of years, ie Mesaba. Until then, we will fly under our old contract and look forward to full retro pay for there foot dragging. Happy Holidays.

Sounds like things are going as scheduled. Glad to hear things are going ...well.

Good luck my friends!

We are filing Section 6 tommorrow (December 20). Table negotiations should resume in mid to late January. I believe they are going to pick up with section 11, training and testing, right where they left off last September.

So would you advise me to apply to mesaba over pinnacle these days or is it all a wash?

Sadly the clock doesn't start ticking until the cooling off period which is years away.

Full retro pay, ah, yeah, right, Dream on.

Seriously guys, good luck and XJ has your backs!!

The retro pay clock will start at the amendable date, not the cooling off period. And I believe this pilot group will be looking closely at the retro pay issue because they know very well how this management team drags their feet. The amendable date is this summer, June I believe. And thanks to the Mesaba guys and girls for there support. You always have ours as well.

I think the date is May 1st.. As for retro pay.. I'm not holding my breath either.. Given a choice, mgmt knows we want QOL issues rectified. Given an option of retro or QOL I'd bet most guys will vote QOL. I doubt we will get both!

Finally.. speaking with several of our guys on the table.. the common theme seems to be... This is not the contract that will be industry leading. This contract will only be a step in the right direction. The mantra I have heard.. don't get your hopes up too much, it will be less of a dispointment when the TA comes.

Too many lifers are happy with the pay, the work rules is what they want changed.

Too many lifers are happy with the pay, the work rules is what they want changed.[/QUOTE]Actually if you guys can just get some really good work rules, that would be a big change. The last two contracts (XJ and Xjet) are within a couple of dollars in the area of captains. And with United now paying 118 an hour for a seven year 737 CA, proper pay for us is getting further away every day. So don't look for real pay gains like $15-$20 an hour like we all should have, but rather some improved work rules. I know some guys at XJ were not happy with our agreement but our leg by leg, trip guar., and look forword 4 hour min. day adds alot to my credit, anywhere from 5-12 hours a month. This with a pretty good 401k can more than make up for a few extra dollars an hour. Good luck. We got your back, XJ.

That is exactly what I mean.. I've run into many senior Capt's that are content with their pay and days off. The area they all complained about are our work rules. If we can get some soft money in the next contract and a heck of an increase for our FO's.. life would be a bit more palatable.

Is not getting paid during training an issue in the contract?
That is an issue to be addressed... At one point this year, the company had problems finding qualified candidates. The issue was exactly as you stated. The company knows it is an issue, but due to precedant, the only way to change it would be via the contract.

I hope to see it changed, although I only give it a 50/50 chance of becoming a reality, too many other issues in the contract ahead of it.

Has your MEC/negotiating committee communicated any details in what they want improved? Details meaning Scope? Training pay? pay rate increases in %? Min days off? Reserve work rules improvements? etc.....

can any PCL pilot shed any light on specifics? and what is your MEC doing to have everyone informed and stay involved?
