Hey all!

Looking at Pinnacle and wondering if South Bend (SBN) is commutable out of Detroit. What are the chances of getting either DTW or MSP out of training. Which is the better of the two?

Any input is appreciated!

We operate I think 4 or 5 flights a day to southbend, and I guess if you were desperate you could drive. I would def. take Detroit as a base because you would spend less time on reserve and you will get it right out of class.

I commute out of south bend...Here are the answers to your questions...SBN is very commutable....every trip is commutable out of SBN becaus eof the hangar setup we have there...we do 4 flts per day on the CRJ and XJ does 2 flights per day on the saab...good luck getting on it though because they are always weight critical and cannot take jumpseaters because of that...MSP only has 1 flt per day but yo could prob get it as a new hire...my advice is go to DTW

Right now there are openings on both MSP and DTW and if not right out of training, probably within a month or two. commute out of DTW is better to SBN.
Commuting on MSA SAABS is virtually impossible with the loads lately

About Upgrades? If you have the minimums required, it runs about 12 to 18 months I would say

Awesome, thanks for the info!!

Everything else put aside, what is the morale amongst the pilot group at Pinnacle? Is it a good group of guys to work with?

A year ago it was, but not anymore. An FO hired tomorrow would have 2 1/2 to 3 years before upgrade.

Although i agree with you that upgrades have slowed way down, it might not take that long at all. If you have the time, you might be able to slide in there faster than that depending on the needs of the company (which will need a lot of captains in the next year and a half. )

All the pilots with the exception of a few that just think the world is out to get them are really good to work with.

very low morale, but is it is a great group of pilots. A couple names do come as one u dont want to fly with. But I am sure every airline has there share of those.

Hmmm big daddy NW in a messy BK case....ya sounds like a good idea to go to 9e now?

Im just bitter because I was furloughed from Mesaba though
