I have a date for an interview with Pinnacle. But do not currently have a passport, FCC radio lic. or written ATP. I can get ATP done and FFC & passport started, but will not have the passport or FCC issued prior to the date of the interview. Is this grounds for going home due to not having all paperwork?

Can anyone tell me of a good reliable 24hr passport company?

Also, I have seen someone list the link for the FCC radio license. I have been to the FCC web site to do it online, form 605, but when I open the link it brings up form 601.

I also would like to know what Jepp they are using currently in the frasca.

Thanks for the input.

If you cant figure out the FCC you cant have the job.

look at aviationinterviews for the latest gouge info, and look at your local college for a new career!

edit: Didn't the interview email even say "do not accept if you do not have the required documentation complete"

Passports take 6 weeks. If you go to a passport office in a major city, ie: Chicago, Philly, NY... you MUST show them proof that you will need your passport to fly out of the country in the near future. Short of buying an international ticket, you will probably be out of luck.

If you reallyreallyreally want your passport I'd say book a ticket to the closest office and wait in line. Think of it as a day's vacation and see a few sites too.

You could pay around $200 total for expedited service (Makes that ticket/vacation look pretty good) and have it in a week or so.

Tx's for all the positive input. That's why I always come back here. To get the best advise from the most positive aviators in the business. No worries, I can make this happen.

I can tell you that I was allowed to interview at Pinnacle with a receipt proving that I did submit my info for a passport at the post office.

Don't even come to Memphis unless you get everything straight. They will show you the door without you even taking the written test!

Ask if you can post pone your interview. I was able to get my passport in 2 days. But i had to pay and extra 80 bucks for expedited services. good luck.

On a completely unrelated topic...sort of....

I received the same e-mail about a job w/ Pinnacle.

Just curious - where does Pinnacle do thier sim work? Is it in MEM?

Thanks...

I talked to HR in Memphis. They said if you have a recipt. for the PassP, that is good enough. I got the ball rollin on the RRadio Lic., and hope to see it in two weeks. And I passed the ATP written. I now can look forward to the interview and associated stress. Hope to be part of the team.

Thanks for all the help.

with all ratings and a 99% on your written how could they not hire you?

Times/Passport Question

1.) I got hired with 1400 TT and about 600 Multi. I believe 1500/300 is what is published, however would not be surprised to see them go down to 1000/100. You know the game, it's all based on need.
2.) I got hired with nothing more than a receipt proving that a passport was on the way. Call human resources and make sure this is still common practice as I do not want to misdirect you....

Later,

Sig

While you work on your building your resume and flight time, why not your professionalism too? That way you don't have to depend on your company and the NW Brand to define it for you. Which seems to be not living up to your expectations.

NW has been around longer than your grandparents, but with 1400+TT you think you are smarter and have more wit. If it wasn't for the NW Brand you would have a job, but yet you feel your the better man by disprespecting it. (and yourself) But lets be clear, NW has alot of problems, but they don't owe you anything. In addition the problems of NW and the rest of the legacy carriers are so big and complex I really doubt, with 1400+TT, you have much to contribute in solving them...

So, here is what you can do. Change your avatar to stop embarrassing yourself and the rest of us. Show up to work with a positive attitude, ready to learn.

Air Line Pilots do not run airlines. Come to work on time, fly the jet safely, bring something to the table and make someones day better.

That way when you interview for your next job, a job that will pay better, they will see the real you... not some clown that is going to piss on thier Brand.

O.K. Slick...

Apparently you missed my comments. I was trying to offer advice to others seeking employment, by answering their questions.. Attempting to HELP others. So next time when you offer advice on ethics, morality, etc. etc., why don't you walk the walk also. Unless of course character bashing is in line with your code of ethics. Professionalism?? LMFAO... Please.... You've got some hooker hanging off an airplane.... I guess your avatar is a LOT more professional.... Have a fantastic day......

Wasn't concerned about your comments rather your attitude via your avatar. I find it offensive. I also find working with such attitudes, distracting, unsafe and annoying. And that is unprofessional.

Hooker? That's is Ms Nicole Whitehead, certificated FAA Commercial Pilot, just like you. Do you think she is offensive?

You've been working for an airline for less than a year and you've already got a bad attitude? Where does that come from? Don't let yourself be a product of your environment and the negative attitudes that fester and feed in the crewroom.

What are you trying to say with your avatar? What's your agenda?

Will you change it?

Nope....

Not going to change a thing, it's called freedom of speech my friend. I will not change nor apologize for it. Not as long as people in this industry continue to ask us to lower our wages, while continuing to line their own pockets. As long as whipsawing, outsourcing flight attendant labor, mechanics who have broken their backs for 32 years etc. etc. As long as those types of behaviors stay, so will my avatar. Get used to it. As far as my attitude on the job, you have not flown with me, so you can not judge my work performance based on my avatar alone. You would be extremely ignorant to do so. That would be like me saying you are a shisty pilot because you choose to put Ms. Whitehead on your avatar. No, I am not offended by her at all. Quite the contrary. Just trying to demonstrate the hypocrisy of your comments regarding the avatars. While I find it to be perfectly fine there are some female aviators that might find your avatar just as offensive as you find mine. Point proven. Any further bickering on this matter is a waste of breath. Point proven. Good day sir. (or ma'am)

Well let's progress and try to keep this positive....

Your reasoning above for having such an avatar is Freshman at best...

Sorry to break it to you, but this is the way it has been since the beginning of capitalism. (no, I'm not advocating socialism or communisim, keep your eye on the ball)....

Management has thier agenda. Do you honestly expect them to function on your behalf, or even how you expect or would like them to function. If you are going to make a career out of this job, you've got to change your attitude. The only thing your avatar does is define you...negatively. That is it...

So you are a reactionist.... if someone treats you poorly, then you behave in kind. I didn't say you shouldn't bring a gun to a knife fight, in fact I'll expect you to tell management to pound sand when they offer 70 seat jets and a quick upgrade... something we all covet. But you can tell management politely and professionally....not with a freshman avatar....

Your thoughts?

Rezfully Yours...

p.s no, its not freedom of speech. Did you ditch gov't class in school?

Hey bud your the one who took a job for 20 bucks an hour! Now tell me who is lowering are payscales? It is buissness. If the airline management has kids climbing all over each other to get in a RJ with only 1000 hours and only pay them 20,000 a year. They are going to make it happen for you. At the expense of the rest of us I might add.:(

Respectfully, if your post was to be validated, then we'd have to place creditbility in the mainline lagacy carrier pilots arguement that all regional pilots are lowering the bar.

Fact is, to expect Winged Sig to NOT apply to Pinnacle to keep the bar raised is unrealistic. We cannot expect one person, who isn't a member, to fight our battles for us.

What Winged Sig can be expected to do, just like all pilots, is have a professional attitude, bring something positive to the operation and now that he is a member of a pilot group...fight the good fight, and fight HARD!

Rezo-whatever and Koslen are an example of the prix at a regional airline that everyone wants to avoid and prays they don't end up as check airmen.

They pass judgement in a hypocritical fashion and set the bar real high (yah...rite) for their fellow aviator.

Btw, Rezolushun, what was your Avatar before you changed it, I'm just curious?

I am sorry you took what I said that way. I am was just takin back but the comment that the airline mangement is solely responseable for the lower payscale we are all enjoying so much. And buy the way I do not work for a regional nor will I ever be able to afford too. I do however have some Heavy lift international experience so I do know a little about the airline industry. :)

Make a difference, Mel. Go be an English or Spelling teacher.

I would, if Pinnacle would let me. Plenty of business there to keep me busy for a few years.

"No, no, no. It's not FRAG-ship. It's FLAG-ship."

Too bad a firm command of the English language is no longer a requirement.
Yep Im guilty as charged. I have really horrible grammer skills. But ask your self from a passengers perspective. Would you rather have a pilot with perfect grammer skills and a clean super groomed image? Or someone with years of experience flying high performance jets at FL 410 and above without stalling or having a dual flameout:rolleyes: If I have too endure another one of your SJS kids telling his flying stories at the food court to some 20 year old girl in an attempt to get laid. I might puke up my lunch.
