Does anyone know how long initial training is at Pinnacle? I am in the June 19 class and the schedule they gave me has 30 days of academics and a few days of sims. I understood from my interview that it was a 60 day process. Does that include IOE?

I tried calling Paola to ask the question, but shes hard to track down. If anyone could shed some light I'd appreciate it...

It's usually 6-8 weeks, including some breaks in between class and oral, oral and sims, then sims and O.E.

Ours was 9 weeks because the sims were all full. Right now they can't staff the airline anyway from what I'm hearing (16-18 day off lines but calling a lot of people for JM's on those days off and not finding a lot of people available because of legality conflicts). Don't know if the sims are busy or not but I'd bet on pretty full schedules trying to get people online plus recurrent stuff.

Good luck!

Thanks. Just to make sure I'm reading you right, the 6-8 weeks does include O.E.?

On the outside, yeah. 8 weeks should cover it without any long training breaks.

Get 4-7 extra days here and there and it COULD go upwards of 10 weeks, but unlikely.

Rush through with absolutely zero breaks other than 1 in 7 after ground school and you MIGHT do it in 6 weeks, but that's really pushing it.

I don't know about all of that, at the rate its going right now, its taking 10-12 weeks! 8 Weeks is impossible the way they have the schedule worked out. It's constantly changing! You really don't know any set schedule, it changes as you go so I would plan to be done with it all withing 10-12 to be safe. Anything less would be a shocker....

You will not finish in 60 days.
Its more like 10-12 weeks.

Ground school is 3 weeks.
Then you have 3 CTP's
Your oral
10 Sim sessions
Checkride
LOFT

They only have three sims. Running from 6am-2am. They got CATII stuff going on, upgrades, PCs/PT's, and new hire training.

And they are short on instructors.

My guess is that you will be around the end of August/ beginning of September if you are in the June 19th class.
