dreaming, it's the only hope you have.

First of all, I would rather fly C-130 into 3rd world country's for the red cross then grandmas oatmeal cookies form MEM-DEN for fed-x.
Second, fed-x guys are humble as $hit when they come to the cockpit needing to jump seat somewhere on an airline that as you say "has undercut one part of the industry already".

Now, you pompous a$$, as far as what I wrote. Someone speculated that 9e would Carrie cargo for fed-x. I said I don't think so. Note I did not insult nor demean anyone with my reply..... Try it sometime you dumb a$$!

Get a grip guys. Why would fedex waste time, effort and money on a piece of crap airplane? They own their boeings, which were made 20-40 years ago and are still running strong and not going away anytime soon. So they burn more gas, big deal. Also, why would they waste their time financing a regional airline?? Absolutely no upside to that as they make more profit in 1 md11 flight as pinnacle does in a quarter.

Go back to speculating/dreaming, it's the only hope you have. You've already undercut 1 part of the industry, ain't going to happen again.

Great response! Once again, thankful I work for a trucking company!

World is looking for someone to fly their MD-11 out of Angola.

Exacty what zman said. RJ's have already done enough damage to part of the industry, I hope that we NEVER see an RJ at a freight carrier. I couldn't give a sh!t less if it gets me in the left seat quicker.

There is nothing dreamy about this industry. Not even being gone for 2 weeks at a time making $190,000 a year.

Thought the idea was funny.

FedEx, AirTran, UPS, JetBlue, Frontier, Alaska, Airborne, and Continental haven't called yet. The wife is from MSP. Should I go work for Mesaba or SunCountry or should I move her for ASA, Mesa, or Chitaco?

I will be happy to leave if you can get me in anywhere.

When the company came to us with a contract proposal, it cut out hotels for some or all CDO's. This is because they want to have cargo CRJ's is some out stations that don't have FedEX direct to MEM. You would fly from your hub with pax in the evening, swap to a cargo CRJ, go to MEM for the sort, fly back to the outstation and swap again and fly pax back to the hub in the morning. Thus you would not need hotels for CDO's.

Isn't flying for FedEx and being business partners pretty much the same thing?

If anything Fed-ex would like to see 9e out of MEM, less congestion for them.

I'm sure all fed-x pilots would like that. No 121 carriers in mem. Less congestion on the taxi ways.
Now go tell them they all have to sell their homes and move mem because they have no way to work.
MEM is not a money maker. NWA has cut schedules in mem and so has XJ
9e is the only one with their headquarters there. No other carrier has even expressed interest in having operations in mem.

I don't think that is a problem. Pinnacle and FDX are busy at different times, and alot of FDX pilots use 9E to get home on.

yeah, i'm sure you're much happier yanking gear at pinnacle for 19k/yr than flying grandma's cookies to DEN. As for jumpseating, none of us asking for a ride really cares what the FO thinks.

It doesn't surprise me you can't afford another ex-wife, you paid for your job at Gulfstream and now you make 19 large a year. Also, it wouldn't be cool to cross a picket line. Didn't they teach you that at Gulfstream or was that an extra $1500 elective you didn't take?

No way to get to work, get real. Most of us coming to MEM ride in on the fedex planes as they are much more commuter friendly.

Actually, I have no school loans. People great-full for my service to our country paid for my training. Yes, you paid for all my flight training, thanks.

Just for the record. We were all in circle, just kick a ball around, till a couple of you big cargo guy came around and one of you caught the ball in the nuts.
I hope no rj's ever end up in the cargo arena. Because your right, it would be the beginning of the end of your q/l you enjoy. I was just trying to make sense out of the statement someone had made. Fly safe, and may your boxes get to where they need to go.

Just a different perspective, that's all. Also, for the record, there was no dig at you until the pompous and the dumb a$$ comment came out.

RJ's have filled their niche, cargo not being one of them.

Even,
It was the "dreaming/only hope you have" that got me. Oh, and the "can't afford another ex-wife". Actually I can. I just like this one.
Don't mind the pm.
See ya on the high ground
