I will post only what I know.

July 10th Pinnacle had the FO's report how close they were to qualifying flighttime-wise for upgrade. Last time they did that was also the last time there were street captains. Keep your ear to the ground.

Interesting. It seems like us pilots are always reading to far into things. But maybe?

well given how often the company misplaces stuff I would not read anything into it other than memphis is not the most competent place in the world. Think of how many times they have lost paper work, heck there were 6 people that went with out health insurance in my class because hr said they never turned their paper work in.

Dont read into things, hope is a a drug, and you are drinking sand in the desert thinking anything more than what it is they are looking for at face value. For all you know they are trying to get their insurance premiums lowered.

I wouldn't read anything into that. I think I filled out 5 or 6 of those dang things during the 3+ years I was an FO here, and they only hired street Captains once during that time period. They just send them out to keep up to date because they constantly lose their documents. We still have more than enough FOs who have the minimums for upgrade right now. I wouldn't expect any street Captains in the near future.

As of yesterday we were being told that the current upgrades have produced overstaffing in the CA ranks.

Didn't you just try to junior man me the other day? :)

I dont know about that. We sure seem to have a whole lot of Managers and VPs. What other airline has an Asst. CP, a base manager, and an asst. base manager in each domicile? also what does the VP of marketing do? what does he market and to who? Can you tell me where I can buy a ticket on pinnacle airlines?

Marketing helps determine what our schedule is going to be. ZW has the same flight ops mgt structure we do in their bases since transitioning to a single fleet type. Marketing also deals with negotiationg pass agreements with other carriers (at least at my last airline they did).

Blackbox is somewhat correct. We're overstaffed with an upper management group that THINKS they know what's going on. Sadly, they have no idea because they distance themselves as far away as possible from the actual operation.

Just my opinion.

What's this I here over there, that if a pilot refuses an extension per the CBA he becomes a target?

i wonder how that will affect my interview on the 27th

It will affect it positively. Relax about them needing you, just do your best and be honest. People are dropping like flies around here (leaving).

NOW I will post something I DO NOT KNOW.

Pinnacle is very close to securing more flying.

LOL, Ok. And this information was gotten from where? Or is this just your speculation?

I hate to say this my friend. Northwest has beaten mainline, still in the process of beating Mesaba, and Pinnacle is next. One thing I can garantee you is that you will not see more flying while your contract is still open. That is not how Northwest does business.

What you should be fearing is that if the judge lets Mesaba impose a contract and in turn we cannot strike. This will plummet your work rules, pay and overall career growth.

yeah pretty much. Yeah those flight time sheets are nothing abnormal, i think they may use them to decide what mix of F/Os to hire. Alot of low time guys with a few higher time guys.

Not sure they really care what the mix is....they just want a $16/hr f.o. who they can abuse until they quit, then hire the next one.

I speak from experience...
