Both are old Saab routes. Your beautiful company decided that they would rather fly 8 people with an inefficient jet with 50 seats than a more efficient turboprop with 34 seats. Make sure to thank management for us when you get the time.
 
remember when you were on a SAab and flying into all of those cities....it went something like this....."did they plow? How is the breaking action?" They would respond, yes its plowed and breaking action is good. I remember landing and realizing that they only plowed the center of the runway and that was hours ago during a snow storm. Upon landing the props would create a white out and when it all settled you were just fine....whew! That will not work in the CRJ-so why do you not look up the definition of wet snow and see what happens when you enter that into the landing data. nope, not landing there!

At least they didn't put an A380 on that route.
