I had a 9E JS'er out of PNS years back when I was an FO. My CA had to clue him on the "No Jeans" part of business casual attire code. Good stuff.
Anyone hear anything about the open Chief Pilot position? Who is the top candidate?
SMARTA$$
No problem.Theres my buddy. Thanks for the nomination.
AT least he had jeans on. After all...it is PNS man! Where's the Beach Dude! That's asking a lot from a 9E pilot. Half of them don't even wear ties when they are walking through the terminal.

Down to 3 candidates, one who is a solid mgmt pilot who will probably get it, even though the other 2 candidates are probably better qualified.
Time will tell.Actually, none of them are very qualified. The company isn't willing to pay enough to attract any real talent for the position. None of the guys that would be any good at the position would sink themselves into that bureaucracy anyway, at any price.
Time will tell.
Would still like to know how yesterday's meeting in Eagan went. Staffing is certainly one of the things a Chief Pilot is SUPPOSED to do, if they weren't micromanaged by Corporate.

Sounds like typical PCL goatrope circle-jerk operations.I did a little diggin around - the job was offered to an APD who turned it down due to money. The only others who applied were two line pilots. One was seriously interviewed. Turns out he is also a member of the MEC.
Word around the campfire is that both of the line pilots were rejected and the job is being re-posted.
Speculation is that they will have to go outside to fill it.
