Typhoon,

It was VX-4 (now VX-9) in Pt Mugu that had/has the F-14 with the Bunny on the tail. We lost it for a while, but it was repainted properly ca. '99-2000.

I took my CFI-A with a gentleman named Forest Lanning. One of the nicest DPE's around.

when i used to rent out videos at the grocery store i had a customer named Offielia Wiener. No joke, I saw the drivers license and everything. You have no idea how hard it was to keep a straight face when she came in.

This was on my dispatch report the other day:

Capt Berkbiggler

At my old airline there was a very senior captain named Bud Weisser.

I still laugh at the prank call scene from Porky's. " Is Mike Hunt here, has anyone seen Mike Hunt "

there's also 22 richard wacker's in the US.

I went to grade school with a kid named rusty dick. We called him "the man of steel" or just "superman."

Don't forget the (ex) Chicom pilot who ran into the P-3 off Hainan . . Wang Wei.

Just me...

After our second kid I got a vasectomy from Dr. Dick Finder in Pembroke Pines, FL. He is a private pilot and owns a Saratoga or Cherokee Six.

I think the best name for a cool pilot name was Willie McCool. He was the pilot for the last space shuttle Columbia mission. Rest in peace Willie.

A few years ago at one of the airshows I did with the Hurricane Hunters we had three crewmembers whose real names are:
Jimmy Stewart, Robert E. Lee, and Bill Gates.

We also have several celebrities flying for us: Robert Downey, James Dean, Robert Palmer, to name a few...

We also have Kurt Russell. When I was based in ATL I flew a trip with him. When I got home I told my wife Kurt Russell had been on my airplane. She asked if I talked to him and I said "of course." She couldn't believe it when I said he actually flew the airplane a little. She wanted to know if the Captain could've gotten in trouble for letting Kurt Russell fly. When I told her the captain was Kurt Russell she didn't find it very funny.

I went to high school with a kid that has a last name of Assman

Wasn't very funny at all in the beginning, as this happened in Holland, and it doesn't mean enything there, but now..

BTW his first name wa Norbert...hmm

Norbert Assman?

Sounds like a Woody Allen character...

I knew an Air Force pilot by the last name of Dick. He claimed his sole reason for staying in the Air Force was to get promoted so he could be "Major Dick." A worthy ambition, if you ask me.
