Citizen Skyhawk Eco-Drive A-T

Pros:
Automatically sets itself to WWV's Atomic time in Fort Collins every morning at 2am.
Charges in sunlight.
Non glare crystal
Timer
Alarms
Chronograph
Multiple time zones
Digital and Analog display (I like this because I can have local on the analog and zulu on the the digital)
Major function over form

Cons:
Big and heavy
Ugly as sin
The cheaper department store version has non sapphire crystal and scratches easy.

Sign up for the Macy's card, get 15-20% off the purchase, pay it off immediately, then cut the card up and throw it in a fire.

Get a timepiece not a watch.

Good: Breitling Navitimer...$3,000

Better: IWC Big Pilot's Watch...$12,000

Best: Patek Philippe World Time...$48,000

Yeah-I think I will go buy a really nice car and just keep wearing a Timex.

-Does anyone really pay this much for a freaking wristwatch? Holy crap!

I'm guilty..I bought a Breitling 4 years ago $4,200.Today that same watch sells for about $8,000..Breitlings actually increase in value.

Only airplane dorks where pilots watches.....and none of them use the E6B. Buy something that looks good, and pay attention to the woman instead of the watch. It will get you a lot further.

I had a Citizen Eco Drive a long time ago with the E6B and the bezel got scratched up so i couldn't read the numbers and the bezel eventually fell off, so a lot of good that did me. Also that thing went thru batteries like crazy.

ECO Drives are solar they don't use batteries.

The lady that helped me pick out my "pilot's watch" told me that you should pay attention to your spelling and grammar instead of the woman.

You'll never use the E6-B function on your watch. Just like you'll never really need "aviator" shades. If you need to make diversion calculations in flight, itll be much less distracting and quicker to whip out a real E6-B from your bag and spin it a few times.

Oh, and does anyone else find it ironic that every real "pilot's watch" is out of any real pilot's salary range? The only a**holes that wear expensive pilot-oriented watches are the guys at the top floor of headquarters who have never stepped into the cockpit of an airplane.

Skippy, you need to forget the E6B crap and go directly for the Breitling Emergency!
It has it's own on board ELT that you will need long before you figure out the rest of the functions on any other watch
