Pilots Thank ATC's George in charge
George,
Thanks for changing all the arrivals into ATL without any input from ATL Center or any of the airlines who service ATL. You implemented the change before letting the NOTAMS, Jeppeson revisions or the FMC software updates take effect. Safety-First right?
You've single-handedly cost the airlines and in the long run the customers many hundreds of thousands of dollars in added fuel expense.
I guess safety takes a back seat to $$$$ too. I hear your plan has earned you many thousands of dollars in bonus money too. That's just great.
Of course I shouldn't be surprised. The FAA's ATC used to be run by Russell Chew...remember him? He's the hatchet man that wouldn't let ATC hire any new controllers. He was the lean and mean operation guy. Now ATC doesn't have enough people to man the screens unless they impose a 6-day workweek on the controllers. NICE JOB! $$$$ before safety right?
Hey here's a thought...Why not pass new procedures by the front-line controllers and pilots first?
These management guys make me sick...
